Unit 5  Wild animals Reading設計說明先通過一個猜動物名稱的游戲引出野生動物的話題,帶領學生復習前一課時所學的野生動物的名稱及其特征,也為學習大熊貓希望的成長過程做鋪墊。通過讓學生聽和讀來訓練其根據(jù)上下文猜測文章大意的方法,同時學習新的詞匯。之后通過精讀、結(jié)合題目講解知識點讓學生提取文章細節(jié)并對文章中重點短語和句型進行記憶和理解。最后讓學生通過對課文的學習,增強保護野生動物的意識。教學目標通過本課節(jié)的教學,讓學生達成以下目標:1.知識目標掌握詞匯:mean, beginning, sadly, face, serious, mainly, however, result, danger, action, reserve, law, none, be born, in the beginning, live on, as a result, in danger, take action, right away, at birth2.能力目標(1)能夠了解大熊貓的成長過程及保護大熊貓的措施; (2)能夠根據(jù)上下文猜測詞義;(3)能夠用適當?shù)挠⒄Z表達方式向他人介紹大熊貓的情況。 3.情感目標增強保護野生動物的意識,從自我做起,保護生態(tài)環(huán)境。重點難點重點:理解文章內(nèi)容,獲取文章細節(jié)信息。難點:學會用英語談論大熊貓的成長過程及保護大熊貓的措施。教學準備PPT 課件;相關圖片。授課時數(shù)2課時教學過程Step 1  Warming upPresent some pictures of wild animals, but each picture just shows part of the animal. Ask students to guess what they are.   T: What animal is this?S: This is a(an) giraffe/dolphin/zebra/kangaroo/panda/ elephant/tiger/camel.Step 2  Presentation1. Ask students to guess what the teacher’s favourite wild animal is.   T: My favourite wild animal is very lovely. It looks like a bear. It likes eating bamboo. It lives in China. They look like white mice when they are born. In the beginning, they drink their mother’s milk. Six months later, they begin to eat bamboo. They mainly live on bamboo. Sadly, giant pandas face serious problems in the wild. They are in danger.
