Welcme t the Rseland Centre. It is an hnr t be here tnight as we present the award fr Discvery f the Year. The winners this year have dne a great jb t help us understand human health. Their discvery will certainly imprve ur quality f life in the years t cme. This discvery wasn’t made easily. I want t take this time t share sme f their difficulties with yu. They spent lng hurs in labratries, libraries, ffices and at hme. Sme had the supprt f their husbands and wives, thers did nt. I have great respect fr their hard wrk. Withut the mst mdern equipment, they did their best with what they had.
And abve all, they never gave up. Just like Charles Kettering, wh said, “Believe and act as if it were impssible t fail,” these hardwrking researchers tried experiment after experiment until they made a discvery that will change all f ur lives fr the better. While we hnr yu this evening, we mustn’t frget everyne wh has wrked s hard this year. All f yu have dne great wrk and we had a very difficult time making a final chice this year. S, in clsing, I wish yu a wnderful evening as we celebrate these great achievements. Nw let’s give a warm rund f applause t ur chairman wh will present the award
