2. 過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)的句式 (1) 基本結(jié)構(gòu)：was / were + verb-ing (2) 否定式：was / were nt + verb-ing was nt = wasn’t were nt = weren’t

Past cntinuus tense with ‘while’ , ‘when’ and ‘a(chǎn)s’
when, while 和 as 這三個(gè)詞都有 “當(dāng)……時(shí)候”的意思。 There were fewer sandstrms when my grandparents were yung. 我祖父母年輕時(shí)沙塵暴要少些。
While Mille was watching TV, her mum was sleeping.米莉在看電視時(shí)，媽媽在睡覺(jué)。I saw a traffic accident as I was riding t schl this mrning.今天早晨我騎自行車時(shí)看到一起交通事故。
2.when 和 as 既可以指某一點(diǎn)時(shí)間，也可以指某一段時(shí)間，其從句謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞表示的動(dòng)作既可以是瞬間性的，也可以是延續(xù)性的；while指一段時(shí)間，從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞必須是延續(xù)性的。即：指一段時(shí)間時(shí)when, while 和as都可用；指一點(diǎn)時(shí)間時(shí)，只能用when或as，不能用while。
試比較： When/As he wke up, it was eight ’clck.2. While he wke up, it was eight ’clck.3. When/While/As I was waiting fr a bus, I met her.
3. 當(dāng) while , when 和 as 放在句首時(shí)， 兩個(gè)句子應(yīng)用逗號(hào)隔開(kāi)。
When the teacher came in, we were talking.While the pig was dancing, the rabbit was jumping.As the tw men were leaving, a message arrived.
長(zhǎng)動(dòng)作(過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)) +when +短動(dòng)作(一般過(guò)去時(shí)) 某個(gè)動(dòng)作正在進(jìn)行時(shí), 另一動(dòng)作突然發(fā)生 I was sleeping when it started t rain. I was walking in the street when a dg barked at me.
2. 長(zhǎng)動(dòng)作(過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)) + while +長(zhǎng)動(dòng)作(過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)) 兩個(gè)長(zhǎng)動(dòng)作同時(shí)進(jìn)行 Mum was cking dinner while Dad was reading newspapers.
3. as…可以表示“隨著….”或“一邊…一邊….”，此時(shí)不可用when/while.1) As years g by, China is getting richer and strnger.2) The little girl sang as she played.
