教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)Unit3 Care for the Earth Let’s talkTeaching Content本單元話題圍繞環(huán)境保護(hù)展開,通過我們?nèi)粘I钪械囊恍┬袨楹同F(xiàn)象,告誡學(xué)生哪些是應(yīng)該做的,哪些是不應(yīng)該做的。本單元的學(xué)習(xí)重點(diǎn)是借助句型We should... We shouldn’t...等提出勸告或建議;通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí),教育學(xué)生要為保護(hù)環(huán)境做一些力所能及的事,從而提高學(xué)生保護(hù)環(huán)境的意識(shí)。本節(jié)課以Part ALet’s talk部分的會(huì)話教學(xué)為主。在鞏固Let’s learn部分詞匯drive a car, the earth, cut down trees, pick flowers, make the air dirty, waste water的基礎(chǔ)上,繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)World Car Free Day,并運(yùn)用情態(tài)動(dòng)詞shouldshouldn’t表達(dá)建議或勸告;在學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)話內(nèi)容的基礎(chǔ)上,運(yùn)用句型We shouldn’t... We should care for...準(zhǔn)確地表達(dá)愛護(hù)地球、保護(hù)環(huán)境。Teaching Aims Knowledge and Ability Goals At the end of the class, the Ss will be able to:1.Talk about caring for the earth by using the key phrases and sentence structures.Phrases: World Car Free Day, drive a car, make the air dirty, waste water, cut down trees, pick flowers, the earth, care for.Sentence structures: We shouldn’t... .  We should care for... . 2. Read the dialogue on P19 . Emotional goals 1.Cultivate the students’ ability in cooperation.2.Cultivate the students' environmental protection consciousness and educate students to care for the earth.Key points    Master the phrases and sentence structures and use them to talk about caring for the earth.Difficult points 1. The correct pronunciation of “air, earth, waste”. 2. Do you know September 22nd?   設(shè)計(jì)意圖:從學(xué)生熟悉的話題以談話的方式導(dǎo)入,拉近師生距離的同時(shí),儲(chǔ)備語言信息,為新授環(huán)節(jié)做好鋪墊。Step2 Presentation ( 20 )1.   Create situation.Consolidate the phrases and learn the sentence structures.Pictures of driving a car, lead them to learn “World Car Free Day” and master “drive a car, make the air dirty”.設(shè)計(jì)意圖:直觀的圖片引導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)詞匯,吸引學(xué)生的眼球,學(xué)生易理解,且能給學(xué)生留下深刻的印象。Listen to the sound of running water, let students guess “What is happening?” Then teach them to learn “waste water” and sentence structures “ We shouldn’t ____. We should care for _______.”設(shè)計(jì)意圖: 自然流水聲能喚起學(xué)生的聽覺,集中學(xué)生的注意力,調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生各種感官學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生不易疲勞,學(xué)習(xí)效果更佳。Look at the poor little bird, the teacher asks: What happened to the little bird? (He can’t find his home.) Where is his home? Then lead them to practice “cut down trees” and the sentence structures.設(shè)計(jì)意圖:學(xué)生根據(jù)圖片內(nèi)容猜測(cè)學(xué)習(xí),引發(fā)學(xué)生思考,給學(xué)生發(fā)散思維的空間。Watch the beautiful flowers and lead them to say “pick flowers”, meanwhile, practice the sentences structures “We shouldn’t ____. We should care for _______.”設(shè)計(jì)意圖:漂亮的花朵吸引學(xué)生的眼球,提高課堂學(xué)習(xí)效率的同時(shí),告誡學(xué)生哪些應(yīng)該做,哪些不應(yīng)該做。Picture of the earth, lead the students to master “ the earth”.設(shè)計(jì)意圖:直觀的圖片降低理解難度,提高課堂學(xué)習(xí)效率。2. Listen and watch.Play the DVD ,let them to watch carefully and answer the questions: What day is it today? (World Car Free Day)Is Su Nan going to school by bike?設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過聽標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的語音語調(diào),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生準(zhǔn)確的語音語調(diào),同時(shí),在看動(dòng)畫的過程中理解文本內(nèi)容,降低了學(xué)習(xí)難度,提高了課堂學(xué)習(xí)效率。問題引導(dǎo)學(xué)生有目地聽,抓住文本關(guān)鍵信息的同時(shí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生聽的能力,進(jìn)而提高學(xué)生的綜合語言運(yùn)用能力。3.Listen and follow.Ss listen and follow to say the sentences by looking at their books. Then answer the questions:Why shouldn’t Su Nan’s father drive a car today?How will Su Nan’s mother go to work?設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過模仿習(xí)得準(zhǔn)確的語音語調(diào),另外,問題設(shè)計(jì)由易到難,滿足不同層次學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)需求。4. Read in roles.    Teacher divides them to two groups, then let them read the dialogue in roles.    設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過角色參與,再次理解文本,內(nèi)化語言知識(shí)。Step3 Consolidation and expansion ( 10 )1. Think and say.Teacher draws the fish and river on the blackboard and says “I can help the fish find his home. What can you do for the earth?”Students say by using: I can… .  I should ... .  I shouldn't ... .    設(shè)計(jì)意圖:教師以身作則,幫助小魚回家,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生關(guān)愛地球,保護(hù)環(huán)境。學(xué)生在老師的引領(lǐng)下,從身邊的小事做起,為保護(hù)環(huán)境做一些力所能及的事。2.Watch a short video.Watch a short video about destroying the earth. Emotional education. Lead out the title.          設(shè)計(jì)意圖:視頻資料讓學(xué)生直觀的感受保護(hù)環(huán)境的重要性,引發(fā)學(xué)生思考,喚起學(xué)生保護(hù)環(huán)境的意識(shí)。3.Discuss and fill.    Students discuss in groups and get key information, then fill in the blanks:    We have only one earth. It is our home. It’s time to do something for our ____. We should ____ ____ the earth. We shouldn’t ______ flowers. We should ______ ______ flowers. We shouldn’t _______ ______ trees. We should _____ _____ _____.We shouldn’t make the ____ dirty. We should make the air _______ again. We shouldn’t _______ water. We should ____ _____water.    設(shè)計(jì)意圖:小組討論,將聽、說、讀、寫有機(jī)的結(jié)合起來,及時(shí)鞏固所學(xué)內(nèi)容的同時(shí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的小組合作能力。Step4 Summary ( 3 )1.   Finish the blackboard design.Finish the title.2.Read these words with light music.We shouldn’t cut down trees.    We shouldn’t pick flowers.    We shouldn’t waste water.    We have only one earth.    We shouldn’t do anything bad.                                                                                   We should make the air clean.                                          We should plant more trees.                                     We should help the animals.                                     We have only one earth.                                We should do something good.設(shè)計(jì)意圖:配樂朗誦的方式總結(jié)本節(jié)課所學(xué)內(nèi)容,在輕松的氛圍中結(jié)束課堂教學(xué),有益于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生持久的英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣。Step5 Homework ( 2 )1.Oral work.Discuss in groups: What should we do to care for the earth?2.Written work.Make a poster in English.Give them the examples.   設(shè)計(jì)意圖:口頭、書面兩種方式的作業(yè),既注重了所學(xué)內(nèi)容的及時(shí)鞏固,又注重了所學(xué)內(nèi)容向生活實(shí)際的延伸。做海報(bào)給了學(xué)生發(fā)散思維的空間,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的想象力和創(chuàng)造力。另外,具體的海報(bào)例子使得學(xué)生作業(yè)有參考,有益于不同層次學(xué)生的發(fā)揮。Blackboard Design設(shè)計(jì)意圖:圖文并茂的板書設(shè)計(jì),簡潔明了,呈現(xiàn)所學(xué)重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容的同時(shí),吸引學(xué)生的眼球,集中學(xué)生的注意力,同時(shí)滲透情感教育,愛護(hù)動(dòng)物,保護(hù)環(huán)境。
