Students can use correct sentences “He can't see. Can we have a dog? No, we can't.” in context.教學難點Understand and learn vocabulary in context and be able to pronounce it correctly.教學準備Teacher preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordingsStudent Preparation: Pre-class preparation教學過程1.Warm-up Activity 1) Students watch a video of a dog helping human do lots of work in the daily life. 2) Teacher asks students whether they think dogs are useful or not. 2.Listen, Fill and Chant 1) Teacher plays an audio, students are asked to listen and fill in the blanks on the slides.2) Teacher plays the audio twice and leads students to chant together with correct pronunciation of words. 3) Teacher plays the animated video and asks students to repeat with the video. 3.Look, Read and Act out 1) Teacher arouses students’ interest with the question “The children are watching a TV show, what’s the TV show about?”2) Teacher plays the video and then randomly pick a student to answer the question. 3) Then teacher does close reading with students where new words and sentences are explained. In this section, students are required to choose correct words to complete the sentences based on the context and grammar rules.4) Students match the words with its correct Chinese meaning. 5) Time for students to act out the dialogues in roles. 4. Listen and Say 1) Teacher plays the text audio and students do choral speaking. 2) Teacher elaborates more on the abbreviation of “can’t” 5.Practice 1) Students follow the sentence model given to describe what is happening in the pictures. 板書設計課后作業(yè)1) Listen to the recordings and read aloud the text 1 and 2 in textbook page 38&39.2) Use your words to describe three pictures in Activity4 Practise, write down on your notebook.3) Complete the unit synchronization exercises.教學反思Teacher can use different method when conducting choral speaking, such as “opposite tune” in which some students say in low voice, however, others say in a relatively loud voice.
