Step 5構(gòu)詞法
1. 合成法
將兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上獨(dú)立且語義不同的單詞合在一起構(gòu)成新詞的方法叫做合成法。合成法是一種比較靈活的構(gòu)詞方法,可以合成名詞、形容詞、副詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞等。例如:afternn, sprtsman, blackbard, sprtspersn, newspaper,
airplane, classmate, grandfather 等就是通過合成構(gòu)詞法構(gòu)成的名詞;kind-hearted, middle-aged, hard-wrking 等為合成形容詞;hwever, maybe, himself, everyne, nthing, verlk 等也都是通過合成法構(gòu)成的單詞。
2. 派生法
通過在詞根前面加前綴或在詞根后面加后綴構(gòu)成一個(gè)新詞的方法叫作派生法。要通過派生法理解和記憶單詞, 我們需要掌握常見的前綴和后綴及派生規(guī)律。

3. 轉(zhuǎn)化法
英語構(gòu)詞法中把一種詞性轉(zhuǎn)化為另一種詞性而詞形不變的方法稱作轉(zhuǎn)化法。常見的轉(zhuǎn)化有:
(1) 動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞

— I think we’d better finish the talk nw. 我想我們最好現(xiàn)在結(jié)束談話。
(2) 名詞轉(zhuǎn)化為動(dòng)詞

(3) 形容詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞
