It's tugh t see r hear f a friend in crisis. One idea t keep in mind is that it is healthy fr the distressed persn t feel what he r she feels in the mment. When a persn in crisis feels understd, he r she feels less alne and cnnected t the persn wh understands.
A persn wh experiences empathy(同理心)frm a friend wh can “g there” fr a few minutes in rder t authentically understand while still maintaining a strng and supprtive attitude may be relieving and healing. Maybe it is a gd cry and sme ice cream. Perhaps it's a glass f wine and a walk. Everyne has different ways f dealing. Be respectful and ask the friend what she needs r wants, nt what yu prescribe.

In additin, the persn wh is empathizing feels psitive because he r she was able t help. When a persn is truly able t cmfrt and reassure a lved ne, he r she feels vital and useful, strengthening the relatinship.
