When Lena arrives at her hotel, it is almost midnight. She decides to take a bath first. Before she does it, she puts her dirty clothes in the sink(臉盆)with water and throws in a “soap bar(塊)”. About 30 minutes later she finishes her bath. She takes a look at the sink. The “soap bar” has cleaned the clothes for her. All she needs to do is hanging them up to dry.
Sounds unbelievable? Nothing is impossible. The “soap bar” is called Dolfi. It looks like a bar of soap, but it isn’t. It is a high-tech product that uses ultrasonic(超聲波的)technology to wash clothes.
The biggest advantage of Dolfi is that you always have a laundry service at hand, even when you’re away from home. What’s more, it is easy to carry and saves your hands and time. It saves money too as it uses eighty percent less energy than a washing machine. Lastly, it’s very silent, so you can even use it late into the night without troubling anyone around you.
“We want people to have more fun on their travels rather than worry about costly laundry service, or pack extra clean clothing, says Andre Fangueiro, Dolfi’s product designer. “With Dolfi, travel will become easier, happier and a lot more fun.”

In cities all over the world, it is common to see beggars(乞丐)on the street. Some of them might ask you for money. Some of them might ask for food. Some of them might be disabled or seriously ill. But in nearly every case, they come from a situation where they have to ask strangers for some kind of help.
Is there anything you can do for them? Of course. You can give them some pocket change, or perhaps buy a cheap meal for them. You can listen to their stories, even just listening can help. Many beggars can explain how they ended up in their situation.
Some people will tell you to keep a distance from them. They might think that these beggars are trying to cheat people-they might be as healthy as you are and they might actually have expensive cars or large houses. Some even say that they work for some kind of criminal organization—they don’t keep the money for themselves, but hand it in to the organization. And unfortunately, these people are sometimes correct.
However, I think it’s better to think more optimistically(樂觀地).Will it really matter to help them in some small way? You never know what they might have been through. In life, we mainly listen to our heads when we’re trying to find out what we should do. But sometimes’ it is just as important to listen to our hearts as well.

A moving experience
Looking back to the past years, I have experienced many unforgettable things. I will never forget the help my English teacher gave me.
When I began to learn English, I found it too difficult. No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn’t do well. I almost lost confidence. As soon as my English teacher knew it, she had a long talk with me about how to learn English well. She always encouraged me whenever I made a little progress. What moved me most was that she even gave up her spare time to practise with me. With her help, I became interested in English and improved a lot.
Though I have to say goodbye to her soon, I feel very lucky to be her student. I hope to be a person like her as well.
