Step 1 Warming up & Revisin


1. Greet the class.


2. Say the chant n Page 25 and d the actins.


3. Talk abut the weather.


4. Oral cmmunicatin. The wrds underlined can be replaced t make sme mre dialgues.


T: It’s time fr English class. What time is it? Ss: It’s 9:00.


T: Is it cld? Ss: N, it isn’t.


T: What’s the weather like tday? Ss: It’s ht.


T: Can I have sme Cke? Ss: Yes, yu can.


Step 2 Presentatin & Practice


1. Play a Guessing game. T Shws the places n the screen and asks What’s the weather like in …? Ss guess the weather in different places with the sentence pattern Is it… in …?


2. Shw Singapre and the weather sign n the screen, then have sme individuals guess. Lead ut sunny and practice with a Glden Finger game.


3. Shw Beijing and have sme individuals guess what’s the weather like in Beijing? Then lead ut windy and practice with a High-lw Vice game.


4. Use the same way t lead ut the ther 3 wrds rainy, snwy, cludy with sme kinds f practising methds.


5. Let’s play. Read thrugh the 5 wrds then ask and answer.


S1: What’s the weather like in …?


S2: It’s … and ….


S1: Is it rainy in Lndn? S2: Yes, it is.


S1: Is it snwy in Beijing? S2: N, it isn’t.


6. Shw a map f the wrld. Then have sme individuals act as a weather reprter.


eg. S1: Gd mrning! Here’s the wrld weather. It’s ht and sunny in Sydney….

1. Read and spell all the wrds tgether. Read them grup by grup. Check up individuals. Crrect mistakes.


2. Let’s find.
