When the snake landed near the kids and started mving, Rman realized it was real. Panicked, he understd his mistake. The kids were terrified, abut t faint, and their mther was frzen in fear. The snake was just 10 meters away frm the kids, staring at them. There was n time t call fr help.
Rman’s heart punded as he stared at the snake, his mind racing t find a slutin. The snake’s scales (鱗片) shinning in the dim light, and its eyes seemed t pierce right thrugh him. Every slight mvement in the rm made the snake’s head mve, heightening the tensin. The kids were nw cwering (退縮) in a crner, their faces pale with terrr. Their mther sat rigid n the cuch, her hands cvering her muth in hrrr. Rman knew he had t act quickly. He glanced arund the rm, searching fr anything that culd help. His eyes fell n a thick bk n the cffee table. Maybe he culd use it t distract r even cntrl the snake. But wuld it be enugh? He wasn’t sure. Time was running ut, and the snake was getting clser t the children with each passing secnd.
