BEIJING, May 28, 2024 (Xinhua News)—The Shenzhu-18 crew (全體工作人員) cmpleted the first spacewalk f their missin (任務) at 6:58 p.m. (Beijing Time) n Tuesday, accrding t the CMSA (中國載人航天局).
The tw members f the Shenzhu-18, Ye Guangfu and Li Guangsu, started their spacewalk. They wrked utside the Tiangng space statin fr nearly 8.5 hurs. With the help f space equipment (設備) and a team n Earth, they successfully cmpleted many tasks during their spacewalk, including sme difficult fixing tasks. Nw they have returned t the Wentian lab mdule (實驗艙). The third crew member, Li Cng, stayed inside Tiangng t prvide supprt.
The Shenzhu-18 crew has set a new recrd fr the lngest single spacewalk by Chinese astrnauts.
This marked Ye’s secnd time t have a spacewalk, and his first spacewalk was in the Shenzhu-13 missin, but this is the first time fr Li Guangsu t start a spacewalk.
The missin will include many tasks. First f all, the three members will d a series f space science experiments (實驗) and many necessary tests. And then, they will carry ut mre activities and d sme fixing wrk utside the space statin. The three astrnauts will wrk n bard Tiangng until late Octber, accrding t the CMSA．
S far, Chinese astrnauts have successfully carried ut 15 spacewalks in all. On September 27, 2008, astrnaut Zhai Zhigang in Shenzhu-7 missin made histry as China’s first persn t take a spacewalk, which lasted abut 19 minutes.

What d yu think f Gansu?Well, I think it’s fantastic. Summer is the best seasn t visit Gansu. I enjy the pleasant weather a lt. Gansu als has many pretty views with a lng histry.
Where are yu staying in Gansu?I’m staying with sme very nice families in different cities in Gansu. That’s quite helpful fr learning Chinese and experiencing the life and culture here. That’s why I’ve chsen hme-stay.

When we were in Tianshui City 3 days ag, we tried malatang, a traditinal spicy ht pt dish. I like it a lt. Beef ndles and niangpizi are als my favrites. I haven’t tried huiduzi. But it seems very tasty.
D yu like learning Chinese?I enjy learning Chinese because it’s interesting and has a rich histry. Chinese characters are beautiful, and the language ffers many chances. Being able t speak Chinese will be very helpful in the future. I want t be a Chinese teacher when I’m lder.
