中國(guó)現(xiàn)代畫家、美術(shù)教育家徐悲鴻1895年出生于江蘇宜興，擅長(zhǎng)人物、走獸、花鳥。
Xu began studying classic Chinese wrks and calligraphy with his father Xu Dazhang when he was six, and Chinese painting when he was nine.徐悲鴻從小跟父親徐達(dá)章學(xué)習(xí)詩文書畫。
13歲后隨父輾轉(zhuǎn)于鄉(xiāng)村鎮(zhèn)里，賣畫為生，接濟(jì)家用。日子雖然艱苦，卻豐富了徐悲鴻的閱歷，開拓了其藝術(shù)視野。

He travelled t Tky in 1917 t study arts and studied verseas in Paris at the écle Natinale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, where he studied il painting and drawing.
1917年留學(xué)日本，1919年留學(xué)法國(guó)。
Life was very hard fr him, especially when his father died in 1919. The pht n the right shws his calligraphy as well as his financialstatus.
盡管家境貧寒，19歲的徐悲鴻書法已有造詣。
After 1949, Xu became president f the Central Academy f Fine Arts and chairman f the China Artists Assciatin. Xu Beihng was a master f bth ils and Chinese ink.解放后，徐擔(dān)任中央美術(shù)學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)和中國(guó)畫家協(xié)會(huì)主席。他的素描和油畫則滲入了中國(guó)畫的筆墨韻味。

按照徐悲鴻的愿望，夫人廖靜文女士將他的作品1200余件，及收藏的1200余件，全部捐獻(xiàn)給國(guó)家。
