This neglect might nt have mattered if it were nt fr increasing evidence that pnds are extremely imprtant habitats fr wildlife as they have rich, diverse and distinctive cmmunities with varied rare and endangered species. Acrss many landscapes, they are being shwn t supprt far greater variatin f species than rivers and streams. 2 It allws them t have a wider range f cnditins cmpared with rivers and streams where flwing water tends t hmgenise (同質(zhì)化) water chemistry.
S why have we failed t ntice such a vital part f the natural wrld?
忌枰莆粘R姷倪壿嬯P(guān)系詞,如因果關(guān)系的“s, therefre”等,轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系的“but, hwever”等,并列關(guān)系的“and, first, secnd”等,以及遞進(jìn)關(guān)系的“als, further”等。
如果前面句子是 “Mst peple like this new prduct because it's easy t use.(大多數(shù)人喜歡這個新產(chǎn)品,因為它容易使用。)”
尋找表示因果的關(guān)鍵詞,如 “because”“since”“as a result”“therefre”“s” 等。 例如,“The weather was extremely bad.(天氣非常糟糕。)” 后面可能會跟 “S, we had t cancel the utdr activity.(所以,我們不得不取消戶外活動。)”
注意 “but”“hwever”“yet”“althugh”“while” 等表示轉(zhuǎn)折的詞。例如,“He is very rich.(他非常富有。)” 后面如果有轉(zhuǎn)折,可能是 “But he desn't feel happy.(但是他并不感到快樂。)”
像 “and”“als”“in additin”“mrever”“furthermre” 等詞表示并列或遞進(jìn)。
