Teenage life is quite dramatic but that desn’t mean yu cannt enjy yur life in these years. Even with yur daily trubles yur life is nt very hard if yu knw hw t deal with them.
I knw exactly hw yu feel. Teenage life can be hard. Yu are nt a kid anymre, because yu are smart enugh t cnsider yur surrundings. Hwever, yu are still nt an adult because there are still lts f experiences that yu need t have and lessns that yu need t learn frm these experiences. Abve all, the hrmnal (荷爾蒙的) imbalance in yur bdy can really mess yu up. I have been there. I was in it fr six years explring what life is abut! As a teenager, I had a majr prblem cmpleting my rutine tasks n time. And at that time, all that I needed t d was t finish my hmewrk, study fr the upcming tests and clean my rm. Life becmes much easier nw because I finish all my wrk n time and I have enugh time t let my hair dwn. Half the prblems f a teenager appear because we hate ding things. We’d rather g and have fun than sit dwn and take n ur respnsibilities. That is why yu have s much truble in yur life; yur parents wn’t let yu g ut with friends because yu haven’t cleaned yur rm r yur teacher is always criticizing yu because yu haven’t finished yur hmewrk.

Fr many parents, raising a teenager is like fighting a lng war, but years g by withut any clear winner. Like a brder cnflict between neighbring cuntries, the parent-teen war is abut bundaries: Where is the line between what I cntrl and what yu d?
Bth sides want peace, but neither feels it has any pwer t stp the cnflict. In part, this is because neither is willing t admit any respnsibility fr starting it. Frm the parents’ pint f view, the nly cause f their fight is their teenagers’ cmplete unreasnableness. And f curse, the teens see it in exactly the same way, except ppsitely. Bth feel trapped.
In this article, I’ll describe three n-win situatins that cmmnly arise between teens and parents and then suggest sme ways ut f the trap. The first n-win situatin is quarrels ver unimprtant things. Examples include the clr f the teen’s hair, the cleanliness f the bedrm, the preferred style f clthing, the child’s failure t eat a gd breakfast befre schl, r his tendency t sleep until nn n the weekends. Secnd, blaming. The gal f a blaming battle is t make the ther admit that his bad attitude is the reasn why everything ges wrng. Third, needing t be right. It desn’t matter what the tpic is—plitics, the laws f physics, r the prper way t break an egg—the pint f these arguments is t prve that yu are right and the ther persn is wrng, fr bth wish t be cnsidered an authrity—smene wh actually knws smething—and therefre t cmmand respect. Unfrtunately, as lng as parents and teens cntinue t assume that they knw mre than the ther, they’ll cntinue t fight these battles frever and never make any real prgress.
28. Why des the authr cmpare the parent-teen war t a brder cnflict?
A. Bth are abut where t draw the line.
B. Bth can cntinue fr generatins.
C. Neither has any clear winner.

30. Parents and teens want t be right because they want t ________.
A. give rders t the therB. knw mre than the ther
C. gain respect frm the therD. get the ther t behave prperly
31. What will the authr mst prbably discuss in the paragraph that fllws?
A. Slutins fr the parent-teen prblems.
B. Examples f the parent-teen war.
C. Causes fr the parent-teen cnflicts.
D. Future f the parent-teen relatinship.

Researchers have develped a new sft rbt design that cnducts itself with three behaviurs at the same time: rlling (翻滾) frward, turning like a recrd and fllwing a path that ges arund a central pint. The equipment, which perates withut human r cmputer cntrl, hlds prmise fr develping sft rbts that can be used t AA-head and map unknwn envirnments.
The new sft rbts are called twisted ring-bts (扭曲環(huán)機(jī)器人). They are made f smething like a ribbn (緞帶) and then jined tgether at the end t frm a ring.
When the rbts are placed n a surface that is at least 55 degrees Celsius, which is htter than the surrunding air, ne part f the ribbn tuching the surface becmes smaller, while ne part in the air des nt. This leads a rlling mvement: the warmer the surface, the faster the rbt rlls. “The ribbn rlls n its hrizntal axis (橫軸), giving the ring frward strength,” says Jie Yin, a prfessr f mechanical and aerspace engineering.
The twisted ring-bt als turns alng its central axis. And as the twisted ring-bt mves frward it travels in a path arund a central pint, basically mving in a large circle. Hwever, if the twisted ring-bt meets a bundary(邊界)—like the wall f a bx-it will travel alng the bundary.
The twisted ring-bts are examples f equipment whse behaviur is gverned by physical intelligence (物理智能), meaning their actins are determined by their structural (結(jié)構(gòu)的) design and the materials they are made f, rather than being directed by a cmputer r human.
“Sft rbtics is still a relatively new field.” Yin says. “Finding new ways t cntrl the mvement f sft rbts in a repeatable and engineered way mves the field frward. And advancing ur understanding f what is pssible is exciting.”
32. What makes the rbt rll faster and faster?
A. The ribbn.B. The central axis.
C. The shape and material.D. The higher surface temperature.
33. Hw des the authr intrduce the new sft rbts?
A. By explaining the rbt’s wrking ways.
B. By quting experts’ pinins.
C. By making sme cmparisns.
D. By ffering reasns and results.
34. What is Yin’s attitude twards twisted ring-bts?
A. Unclear.B. FavurableC. Negative.D. Dubtful.
35. What is the best title fr the text?
A. The New Sft RbtsB. Ribbns and Their Rlling
C. Three Creative MvementsD. Twisted Rings and the Axis
