The nvel describes hw Anne makes her way with the Cuthberts, in schl, and within the twn.
The bk teaches me a lt f things, the mst imprtant being — t be wh yu are. Why d we need t pretend t be smebdy else and prject a false image f urselves t lk better? We need t realize that we are all different in ur wn way and accept urselves first. As is described in the bk, Anne is a clrful and ever-grwing character. She "has as many shades as a rainbw and every shade is the prettiest while it lasts." Each aspect f her persnality is beautiful, which makes her unique and interesting.
Anther imprtant cncept that is illustrated remarkably well is the imprtance f taking jy in the wrld arund us. Anne’s bvius wnder-struck appreciatin f life made me truly appreciate the small things. Here is my favurite qute (引言) frm Chapter 19:

Parents f teenagers ften view their children’s friends with distrust, wrrying that their children will be pushed by their peers (同齡人) int ding smething flish r even dangerus. Their wrries hld water. In a later study, by scanning (掃描) the brains f 40 teens and adults, Steinberg fund the brains f teenagers, but nt adults, shwed greater activity in tw regins assciated with rewards when they were being bserved by same-age peers. The reward systems f the brain are activated whenever peple experience smething rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting fd, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater fr teens, which mtivates them t seek higher-risk experiences.
But Steinberg thught peer pressure might als have its psitive side. In the latest study, Steinberg’s team used a card game t research hw peers affect the way yung peple gather and apply infrmatin. It invlved 101 teenage bys wh played either alne r with three peers. They chse cards frm fur decks (牌堆) : tw decks had"gd" cards, and tw"bad" nes. Players with peers were mre willing t take risks, trying t figure ut which decks culd help them t win. The results shwed that teens playing with their peers engage in mre explratry behavir, learn faster and achieve better perfrmance n the task than thse playing alne.
Nw sme experts are prpsing that we shuld take advantage f the teens’ keen sensitivity (敏感) t the presence f friends t imprve educatin. "Risk taking in an educatinal cntext is a vital skill that enables prgress and creativity," wrte Sarah-Jayne Blakemre, a prfessr at University Cllege Lndn.

12.答案: A
Parents f teenagers ften view their children’s friends with distrust, wrrying that their children will be pushed by their peers (同齡人) int ding smething flish r even dangerus.",即青少年的父母不信任孩子的朋友,擔(dān)心孩子被同齡人慫恿做傻事或危險(xiǎn)事,接著說(shuō)"Their wrries hld water.",后面又通過(guò)之前的研究例子"a teenage driver with a same-age passenger in the car is at higher risk f traffic accidents than ne driving alne r with an adult"來(lái)證明這種擔(dān)憂是有道理的,"hld water"意思就是"說(shuō)得通,有道理,站得住腳",與"Make sense"意思相符,B選項(xiàng)"Face dubts(面臨質(zhì)疑)"不符合此處表達(dá)擔(dān)憂合理的語(yǔ)境;C選項(xiàng)"Bring relief(帶來(lái)寬慰)"與文意不符;D選項(xiàng)"Start debates(引發(fā)爭(zhēng)論)"也不符合此處意思,所以答案是A選項(xiàng)。
The reward systems f the brain are activated whenever peple experience smething rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting fd, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater fr teens, which mtivates them t seek higher-risk experiences.",說(shuō)明青少年大腦的獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)系統(tǒng)在被同齡人觀察時(shí)會(huì)更活躍,這種獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)帶來(lái)的滿足感促使他們?nèi)で蟾唢L(fēng)險(xiǎn)體驗(yàn),也就是他們危險(xiǎn)行為背后的原因是這種想要獲得滿足感,答案是B選項(xiàng)。
The results shwed that teens playing with their peers engage in mre explratry behavir, learn faster and achieve better perfrmance n the task than thse playing alne."

18.答案: D
解析: 文章最后提到"a gift as well as a... fr my belief in Christmas miracles",表明整個(gè)故事圍繞著相信奇跡展開(kāi),且當(dāng)時(shí)是圣誕前夕,所以這里說(shuō)這畢竟是個(gè)有奇跡發(fā)生的季節(jié),"miracles"符合語(yǔ)境;"unin"意為聯(lián)合、結(jié)合;"hlidays"雖與當(dāng)時(shí)是假期有關(guān),但不是此處要強(qiáng)調(diào)的核心意思;"happiness"幸福也不符合此處關(guān)于奇跡的表意,所以選D。
之內(nèi);"After"在……
22.答案: B
解析: "pick up"有繼續(xù)、重新開(kāi)始的意思,這里"我"回家過(guò)節(jié),決定重新開(kāi)始尋找小貓,符合語(yǔ)境;"set up"建立、設(shè)立;"make up"組成、編造、彌補(bǔ)等;"turn up"出現(xiàn)、露面,都不符合此處重新繼續(xù)尋找的意思,所以選B。
23.答案: A
24.答案: D
解析: "That's where..."是常用句型,這里指代前面提到的"a back rm",說(shuō)明那是他們存放新貓的地方,用"where"引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句,符合語(yǔ)法和語(yǔ)境要求,所以選D。
26.答案: A

32.答案: the; wating; excitedly; that; which; matters; t g; pwerful; strength; have achieved
④此處考查強(qiáng)調(diào)句結(jié)構(gòu)"It is/was + 被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分+ that + 其他部分",這里強(qiáng)調(diào)的是主語(yǔ)"faith and curage",所以用"that"引導(dǎo)強(qiáng)調(diào)句。
As a Senir 1 student, we are likely t cme acrss many difficulties"作先行詞,在后面的非限定性定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ),指代前面整個(gè)句子的內(nèi)容,所以用關(guān)系代詞"which"引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句。
⑩根據(jù)語(yǔ)境"Never be satisfied with..."可知,這里說(shuō)的是不要滿足于已經(jīng)取得的成就,強(qiáng)調(diào)到目前為止已經(jīng)完成的動(dòng)作,所以用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí),其結(jié)構(gòu)是"have/has + 過(guò)去分詞",主語(yǔ)是"yu",所以填"have achieved"。
33.答案: unique
解析: 根據(jù)首字母"u" 以及后面"way f making his classes lively and interesting(讓他的課堂生動(dòng)有趣的方式)" 可知,這里需要一個(gè)形容詞修飾"way","unique" 意為"獨(dú)特的",符合語(yǔ)境,即他有一種獨(dú)特的方式讓課堂生動(dòng)有趣。

36.答案: swept/wept
