Research shws that the bdy’s ability t cl thrugh sweating (出汗) begins t decrease at 35 ℃. Being in such cnditins can put pressure n the heart and cause bdy temperatures t rise uncntrllably, creating the greatest risk t lder peple and thse with diseases.
Recently, scrching temperatures have brken recrds acrss the glbe. China experienced a histric high f nearly 126 °F. America reached 128 °F. The Middle East hit 152 °F, nearing the limit f what humans can stand.
These extreme heat events ffer a lk at the future, as glbal warming cntinues t push temperatures. The frequency f dangerusly high temperatures has mre than dubled since 1979, accrding t research in 2020.
The seriusness and widespread nature f nging heat waves highlight that climate change is a glbal prblem with far-reaching effects. Human activities, such as the burning f fssil fuels (化石燃料), have greatly cntributed t the rise in heat-trapping greenhuse gases, leading t mre heat waves and ther extreme weather events. It is high time t cut dwn n greenhuse gases and chse cleaner renewable energy surces. Internatinal cperatin and leadership are necessary t reduce the effect f climate change n ur planet and prtect the well-being f future generatins.

Next, they ran an experiment in which 186 vlunteers experienced tw cnsistent nights f bad sleep—a sleep limited t fur hurs per night, r tw cnsistent nights f gd sleep—nine hurs f enugh sleep. Then, each vlunteer described their “subjective age”. After tw nights f limited sleep, the vlunteers reprted feeling an average f 4.4 years lder than their true age, while thse with tw nights f enugh sleep felt an average f three mnths yunger.
