C.A Life-changing MeetingD.A Status-imprving Tale
【答案】24.D 25.A 26.D 27.C
根據(jù)第二段“At the time f their meeting, Owusu was n free schl meals, living n a public estate in Brixtn, suth Lndn, where he and his sister were being raised by their mther Rse, a struggling hairdresser.(在他們相遇的時(shí)候,Owusu在學(xué)校吃免費(fèi)午餐,住在倫敦南部布里克斯頓的一處公共住宅里,他和妹妹由母親羅斯撫養(yǎng),她是一名苦苦掙扎的美發(fā)師。)”
根據(jù)第三段“T this day it still has an impact. My cnfidence changed(直到今天,它仍然有影響。我的信心改變了)”可知,從那一刻Owusu的信心改變了,說明那是一個(gè)轉(zhuǎn)折點(diǎn),sliding-dr mment的意思是“轉(zhuǎn)折點(diǎn)”,和Turning pint意思相近,故選A。

27.主旨大意題。通讀全文,尤其是第三段“Speaking in its clubhuse, Owusu describes his rise in scial status (地位) as a “Thatcherite Jurney”. And he says it began by asking the wman herself. “T this day it still has an impact. My cnfidence changed frm that sliding-dr mment. Plastic is everywhere, frm the Arctic ice t vital rgans in the human bdy. In fact, previus estimates suggest that the average persn swallws a credit card-wrth f micrscpic plastic particles(顆粒) every week. But new research shws that this culd actually be an understatement.
Micrplastics are plastics smaller than 5 millimeters, fund in industrial waste, beauty prducts, and frmed during the degradatin f larger plastic pieces. Over time, they break dwn int even smaller nanplastics. These tiny particles can pass thrugh ur intestines and lungs int ur bldstreams, reaching vital rgans like the heart and brain.

根據(jù)第三段“While the idea f eating plastic is unsettling in itself, the majr cncern here is that these plastic particles cntain chemicals that can interrupt ur bdy’s natural release f hrmnes, ptentially increasing ur risk f reprductive disrders and certain cancers. They can als carry txins(毒素) n their surface like heavy metals.( 雖然吃塑料的想法本身就令人不安,但主要的擔(dān)憂是,這些塑料顆粒含有的化學(xué)物質(zhì)會中斷我們身體自然釋放的激素,可能會增加我們患生殖障礙和某些癌癥的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。它們的表面也會攜帶重金屬等毒素。)” 可知,新研究的焦點(diǎn)是納米塑料對人體可能造成的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。故選D。
33.細(xì)節(jié)理解題。根據(jù)第五段“Using Raman micrscpy (顯微鏡學(xué)), capable f detecting particles dwn t the size f a flu virus, the team measured an average f 240, 000 particles f plastic per liter f bttled water, 90 percent f which were nanplastics, a revelatin 10 t 100 times larger than previus estimates.(利用拉曼顯微鏡,能夠檢測到流感病毒大小的顆粒,研究小組測量到每升瓶裝水中平均有24萬個(gè)塑料顆粒,其中90%是納米塑料,比之前估計(jì)的要大10到100倍。)”
根據(jù)最后一段的“His team hpes t expand their research int tap water and ther water surces t better infrm ur expsure t these ptentially dangerus particles.(他的團(tuán)隊(duì)希望將他們的研究擴(kuò)展到自來水和其他水源,以更好地了解我們接觸這些潛在危險(xiǎn)顆粒的情況。)”
根據(jù)最后一段中Qian的話 “It is nt ttally unexpected t find s much f this stuff(發(fā)現(xiàn)這么多這種東西并不完全出乎意料) ” 及 “The idea is that the smaller things get, the mre f them I reveal(我的想法是,東西越小,我揭示的東西就越多)” 可知他并不對發(fā)現(xiàn)大量微塑料感到完全意外,并且研究對象越小,揭示的就會越多,因此可以推斷出Qian對他的研究持積極態(tài)度。

36.根據(jù)前文“Befre yu begin, ask yurself sme questins, what are yur reasns fr thinking abut a healthier lifestyle?(在你開始之前,問你自己一些問題,你考慮更健康的生活方式的原因是什么?)” 因此B選項(xiàng)“Why is ding this imprtant fr yu?(為什么做這件事對你很重要?)”
(關(guān)注行為,而不是結(jié)果)”以及后文“But switching yur fcus frm utcmes t the new habits yu’re creating and actins yu’re taking is mre beneficial.(但是把你的注意力從結(jié)果轉(zhuǎn)移到你正在養(yǎng)成的新習(xí)慣和你正在采取的行動上是更有益的)”可知,本段主題句建議人們要關(guān)注行為而不是結(jié)果,同時(shí)后文以but開頭,故設(shè)空處與后文構(gòu)成轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系。
根據(jù)后文的內(nèi)容“ Remember Rme wasn’t built in a day! And things like yur eating habits, cking skills, athletic abilities, and mre wn’t change vernight.(記住羅馬不是一天建成的!你的飲食習(xí)慣、烹飪技巧、運(yùn)動能力等等都不會在一夜之間改變)”可知,此處強(qiáng)調(diào)羅馬不是一夜建成的,習(xí)慣是要慢慢改變。A選項(xiàng)“Start small and take steady steps.(從小處開始,循序漸進(jìn))”概括本段主要內(nèi)容,符合段旨。故選A。
39.根據(jù)前文“A healthy lifestyle is never all r nthing.(健康的生活方式從來都不是要么全做要么根本不做)”推知,空處應(yīng)陳述真正的健康生活應(yīng)該是怎樣的。G選項(xiàng)“It’s abut creating a healthy relatinship with fd and yur bdy.(這是關(guān)于在食物和你的身體之間建立健康的關(guān)系)”承接前文,指出健康的生活方式是什么——關(guān)于在食物和你的身體之間建立健康的關(guān)系。故選G。
40.根據(jù)前文“Can yu d it frever? One f the mst imprtant things t ask yurself when building healthy habits is, “Can yu d it fr life?” Sure, yu culd prbably stick t a diet fr a shrt perid, but can yu see yurself ding that frever?( 你能永遠(yuǎn)這樣做嗎? F選項(xiàng)“If nt, remember: temprary methds are equal t temprary results.(如果沒有,請記?。号R時(shí)方法產(chǎn)生臨時(shí)結(jié)果。)”承接前文,指出如果不能堅(jiān)持一輩子,那么臨時(shí)的方法只能產(chǎn)生臨時(shí)的結(jié)果,符合語境。故選F。

My parents were always against me wning my wn pet, afraid f the mess it wuld make r that I wuld quickly lse interest in taking care f it, but we made a cmprmise: I culd vlunteer at a lcal pet shelter n the weekends t test my sense f respnsibility and dedicatin. That was hw I first came t vlunteer at the Avndale pet shelter and—mre imprtantly—where I met my future best friend, Chclate.
One ht August afternn, my bss Charlie tld me that they were bringing in a yung black Labradr Retriever and that I’d be its primary caretaker. An hur after ur cnversatin and in came Chclate—a beautiful dg with shining brwn fur and amazing blue eyes. At abut 3 mnths ld, I expected him t be a lt mre energetic and playful, but he immediately backed and lay dwn at the back f his pen (圍欄).
I asked Charlie what was the matter with him. He replied that Chclate had a genetic prblem which caused him t be brn with a shrt tail, leading ptential wners t think there was smething wrng with him; s the breeder felt that they had n chice but t give up the puppy t the shelter.
He was verlked and underappreciated. I felt very angry at the thught that an therwise healthy dg culd be thrwn away s easily. At the same time, I felt a deep sympathy fr this dg wh had been cheated ut f the lve and attentin he deserved. It was at this mment that I reslved t give Chclate as much lve and attentin as I culd while wrking as a vlunteer.
Althugh Chclate was reluctant and shy at first. eventually thrugh enugh treats and play he slwly came arund and warmed up t me. Sn enugh, whenever I came arund his pen t let him ut fr his turn f walks and play, Chclate was always excited and jumping with jy.

One pssible versin:
As time passed by, the cnnectin between Chclate and I grew strnger and strnger. The grassland f the shelter ften witnessed heartwarming and harmnius scenes where a girl and a dg chased after each ther, r curdled tgether, leisurely enjying sunshine’s caress. With my cmpany and care, Chclate’s previus shyness and timidity gave way t curisity and enthusiasm. S attached was he t me that he even bit my trusers t stp my pace when I had t head hme. Magically, whenever I apprached him, my heart wuld brim with warmth and affectin, a sense f respnsibility t prtect him rising deep dwn. Perceiving him as my best friend, I reslved t attend t him well and sheltered him frm any ptential harm.
One day, Charlie said Chclate must find a hme sn r he wuld be remved. The news struck me like a blt frm the blue, making my heart sink with deep cncern that he wuld be ruthlessly abandned again. Hwever, it suddenly struck me that I culd be Chclate’s wner. Filled with eagerness and anticipatin, I pleaded with my parents t allw me t keep Chclate. Beynd my wildest dreams, they shuld apprve f my request, telling me “Hney, yur uncnditinal lve and cntinuus devtin t Chclate eventually made us change ur riginal idea.” Nw, it is a blessing that Chclate has becme my family member and it is he that awakens me t the realizatin that nthing can be a greater delight than dedicating lve and reaping trust in reward.
