Brandn’s mind was racing when he saw the situatin. Thughts f his family flashed thrugh his mind as he realized if he did the rescue, he wuld put his life at risk. Brandn tk a deep breath and stepped back. Suddenly a sense f guilt washed ver him at the sight f the trapped man. Brandn knew he had t act. He reached thrugh the windw, ignring the pain frm the burn n the hands. He tried t untie the seatbelt and helped the panicked yung man break away frm the steering wheel. Thankfully, the train cnductr and sme crew members were nw rushing ver t assist. Tgether, they managed t pull the yung man ut thrugh the brken windw and t safety. What a great relief t everyne at the crash site!
The train cnductr came t Brandn and hugged him tightly. The cnductr put his arms arund Brandn, leading him away frm the chas. “Yu just saved mre than ne life. Yur actin is a great example f the value f bravery. Yu’re a true her. What yu did brught warmth t ur hearts and tears t ur eyes.” All f a sudden, thunderus applause burst ut frm the crwds. Brandn lked at the cnductr, a mixture f emtins sweeping acrss his face. In his eyes, he just did what a respnsible citizen shuld d. He was nt a her, and all he culd think abut was getting hme t his family. He had news t share, and nw, he had a stry t tell abut hw an rdinary man had dne smething extrardinary.

W: This time last week, during my lunch hur.
M: And was yur watch a small gld ne?
W: Yes, that’s right. Hw did yu knw?
M: Because yur receipt is still here. Yu drpped it when yu left. The manager shuted but yu didn’thear.

M: I lve these Adidas shes. D yu have this mdel in a black clr and in size 8?
W: Wait a mment. I shall check n the cmputer.
M: OK.
W: I’m srry, sir. This mdel nly cmes in red, blue and white. Size 8 is available in blue and white at the mment. Wuld yu like them?
M: I dn’t think s. Can yu recmmend anything similar?
W: Hw abut these? They are very similar t the Adidas’.
M: Hw much are these?
W: They are $100, but I can give yu a 12% discunt if yu sign up fr a stre membership card, which is free f charge.
M: OK, I’ll take them.

W: Just let me check in the bk. Hmm, Christpher Pattersn yu say?
M: Yes.
W: I can’t find yur name anywhere in the appintment bk. Have yu gt the right day?
M: Yes, I phned fr an appintment yesterday. I arranged a wash and cut. Smene tk dwn my details.
W: I’m really srry, Mr. Pattersn. I think I knw what must have happened. We have a new girl, Julie, wh has just started wrking here. She must have frgtten t put dwn yur appintment in the bk.
M: Des that mean I can’t have my hair cut?
W: N, n, f curse nt. It’s ur mistake. Can yu wait anther ten minutes?
M: OK, I can wait.
W: I’m s srry abut this. If yu’d like t wait in the waiting rm, there’s a TV and sme magazines yu can read. Get yurself a cup f tea r cffee frm the machine. They’re free fr custmers.
M: OK. I’ll have a rest in the waiting rm.
W: I’ll get t yu as sn as I can.

M: There’s a big exhibitin dwn the street, and I think everyne has decided t cme here fr lunch.
W: It certainly lks like it.
M: It was t much fr my parents and me t deal with, but nw yu are here t help. Things shuld be easier.
W: Dn’t wrry. We’ll sn get everyne served.
M: I hpe s. Well, I carelessly left the ham ut f the fridge last night, s we have t take that ff the menu.
W: Ok. I’ll d that right away.
M: I started t get nervus when I saw all these peple, but I didn’t want t turn anyne away. That’s why I called yu.
W: I’m glad I culd help. It’s a gd thing t have lts f custmers. It shws the place is ppular.
M: Yu’re right.
W: What shall I d next?
M: If yu culd spread butter n sme bread, that wuld be a great help. I’ve already cut sme cheese and my parents are preparing the vegetables.
