一、評分原則
評分時，先根據短文的內容、語言和思維邏輯以及寫作規(guī)范初步判定其所屬檔次，然后根據該檔次的具體要求來確定或調整檔次，最后給分。這一原則也稱之為整體評分或印象評分。
評分時，應關注的短文內容為：內容要點表達的清楚程度、完整性及合理性。
評分時，應關注的短文語言和思維邏輯為：運用詞匯和語法結構的準確性及上下文語意的連貫或完整性。
評分時，應關注的短文寫作規(guī)范為：詞數不少于60詞，拼寫和標點符號符合寫作規(guī)范 (英、美拼寫及詞匯用法均視為符合要求) ，如書寫較差，以致影響交際 (認讀和理解) ，建議將分數降低一個檔次。
先根據整體印象定檔，然后再根據以下檔次打分 (特別是語法類的錯誤按照種類，而不是按照錯誤個數扣分。特別注意：1. 人稱，非第一人稱先扣3分；2. 主體時態(tài)為一般過去時態(tài)，時態(tài)錯誤，扣3分；3. 一種意思多種表達均可；4. 連接詞的運用；5. 單詞拼寫、固定搭配等一般3個錯誤扣1分) 。做到給分有理、扣分有據! 謹慎給滿分; 6分以下的四檔、五檔的能給分的盡量給, 鼓勵學生動筆。
二、檔次的判定
英語書面表達題的評判一般把學生寫作的短文分為五個檔次。
第一檔次： (13~15分)
短文能呈現所有內容要點，寫出的句子語意表達清楚、合理且基本無錯誤。
第二檔次： (10~12分)
短文能呈現絕大部分內容要點，寫出的句子語意表達清楚且無嚴重錯誤，有少數單詞拼寫錯誤。
第三檔次： (7~9分)
短文能呈現大部分內容要點，寫出的句子雖然有語法錯誤但能表達基本信息，有較多的單詞拼寫錯誤。
第四檔次： (4~6分)
短文包含部分內容要點，寫出的句子有較嚴重的語法錯誤，表達的意思也不清楚，有較多的單詞拼寫錯誤。
第五檔次： (1~3分)
短文包含少量內容要點，寫出的句子有嚴重語法錯誤，基本不能表達語意，或只寫出幾個關鍵詞。
注意：
如短文出現以下情況：未能傳遞任何信息；內容太少，無法評判；所寫內容均與題目要求內容無關或所寫內容無法看清，默寫的課文或者抄寫的試卷內容的，建議判零分。
