What is a diary?
日記是中考各省市常考的題型。記敘自己一天生活中所看到、遇到、想到和做過的事情，特別是那些具有教育意義或值得回憶、查閱或參考的事情，也可以用來抒發(fā)自己當(dāng)天對某些事件的感受，以及對將來的打算等。
1.格式：英文日記和中文日記的寫法大致相同。一般是第一行寫上日期、星期、天氣狀況。日期通常頂格寫，后面是星期，天氣狀況寫在右上角。表示天氣情況的詞一般用形容詞，如： fine, cld, rainy, windy, cludy, sunny, snwy, fggy 等。正文部分另起一行。2.人稱：日記要用第一人稱寫。
3.時態(tài)：寫日記的時間一般是在下午或晚上，有時也有在第二天補記的。所記敘的事情通常發(fā)生在過去，所以常用一般過去時態(tài)。但如果要記敘天氣、描寫景色、展望未來、議論某事或?qū)υ捯Z等，可以使用一般現(xiàn)在時或一般將來時，以生動再現(xiàn)當(dāng)時的情景。
4.日記的寫作順序：日記一般按照時間順序或事情的經(jīng)過來寫。語言要清楚、自然，內(nèi)容要連貫、完整。5.類型：日記可分為記事型、議論型、描寫型以及抒情型等類型。記事型日記，就是用所學(xué)英語詞匯記述當(dāng)天自己生活中所發(fā)生的事情。議論型，就是對生活中的某一事情或情況、現(xiàn)象發(fā)表自己的看法。描寫型就是對某人、某物的特征進行細致的描述，或?qū)δ呈挛锸惆l(fā)自己的感情。
