If yu’ve never heard f the rganizatin r the website where the QR cde is suppsed t g t, that’s a huge red flag.” She said the use f the QR cde by scammers ffers anther way t steal persnal infrmatin r get yu t dwnlad malware(惡意軟件) nt yur smartphne.
The scammers can nw send messages t ne r all peple in a user’s address bk, r even send a payment t where it cannt be recvered, accrding t the U. S. Army Majr Cybercrime Unit. “In sme scams, the QR cde takes yu t a phishing website, where yu are required t enter yur persnal infrmatin fr scammers t steal,” the BBB warned. “Other times, scammers use QR cdes t payment apps r fllw a bad scial media accunt.”
Scams can differ, but the scammers want yu t scan the cde right away. What yu need t d, thugh, is t step back and make sure any infrmatin is legitimate(合法的) befre yu scan the cde. Phne the friend r cwrker directly t see what they might have sent, and make sure the sender wasn’t hacked.
