Like mst peple,yu usually start wrk with the hpe f being as prductive as pssible. Yet,as the day rlls n, yu find yur task list grw. What yu set ut t achieve in the beginning seems t get pushed t the side.
Yu're nt alne. Many f us dn't have a prcess t priritize tasks and always feel like we're playing catch-up. We fail t decide what's the mst imprtant task even when everything n the t-d list feels imprtant. But we can get ahead f the game and stay n tp f deadlines with sme simple methds t set pririties and manage ur wrklad.
Here's a simple way t priritize ur daily tasks and fcus(專注) n the wrk that matters mst:Of all the things we nw have the energy fr,d the thing we're nrmally least likely t d. If we have tw live frgs t eat fr breakfast, the idea is t eat the ugliest ne as early as pssible.

Unfamiliar behavirs ften prvide mre chances t help us grwth an familiar nes. When I write fr a new publicatin,it's with a new editr. I get different feedback. I need t change my style t match the style f that publicatin, s I develp my skills. In this way we'll expand(發(fā)展) urselves,ur skills, and ur future pprtunities.
Sme peple react t anxiety by wrking hard n very cmfrtable behavirs but pay n attentin t uncmfrtable tasks that area higher pririty. The way f priritizing helps prevent us frm ding that. It makes it harder t fl urselves that we're being prductive by ding busywrk that's super cmfrtable fr us but has little chance f changing ur life.
Shuld we use this trick all the time? N. This is a gd tip fr when we've gt energy, but we're swimming in thughts abut all the things we culd d,and we're having truble deciding and fcusing.
Pririties are great. Knwing ur pririties reduces stress, helps us fcus and can als imprve prductivity and time management. But remember t be realistic abut hw much wrk we can actually d each day. When we priritize ur wrk prperly,we're sure t have a gd day.

In tday’s climate, industries ften talk abut the new ppular wrd f this age, big data. Big data refers t data in general. mstly unrganized and unstructured. The use f big data has huge ptential (潛力) fr varius industries, healthcare included. Facebk, Amazn, fr example, use big data fr their digital structures t match custmers with their interests. Sme experts in discussing big data have described it as the fur Vs: Vlume referring t a large amunt f data; Velcity referring t the timely generatin f data; Variety referring t the many frms f data; Veracity referring t the quality f the data.
Sme researchers discussed the ptential f big data in medicine recently. Fr example, big data can be used t imprve decisin-making when cmbined (結(jié)合) with ther new technlgy like artificial intelligence (AI). It is pssible that big data can cmbine clinical (臨床的) characteristics, lifestyle and envirnmental factrs with AI in future clinical testing. Hwever, this remains just a daydream at the present mment. S far, all big data techniques are mainly descriptive. In the future, with advanced cmputatinal pwer, using big data in medicine is prmising.
Hwever, big data als has its limitatins, and there are several lessns we must learn befre using it effectively. First, big data is never well-managed and cmes with a large degree f mess. Thus, selecting the crrect technlgy with human pwer t manage big data is f imprtance. Secnd, analytic (分析的) cmpanies can misinterpret (誤釋) big data by using incrrect research questins t test their guesses r using the wrng tl t analyze the related data, resulting in delivering false messages.
Surgisphere, an American analytic cmpany, is a typical example f what can g wrng thrugh the analysis f big data. Surgisphere stated that it cllected data frm ver 1000 hspitals wrldwide. Althugh this is pssible and new technlgy can cmplete this task with minimal human resurces, it is difficult that this data can be well-managed. In additin, healthcare data is challenging t wrk with, as the cmbining f electrnic medical recrds and data privacy are majr prblems. Anther example is the Cambridge analytic case (案例), where data gt frm Facebk was used withut permissin.
When prperly used, big data can be a game-changer fr varius industries, including the healthcare industry. This requires well-managed data, related research questins, apprpriate analytic tls, and advanced cmputatinal pwers. In the wrng hands, big data can be a big threat that can bring industries int disrder as a whle.

B. Medical recrds and data privacy are well-managed in health care.

D. Amazn used the related data withut false messages.
40. What is the writer’s main purpse in writing this passage?
A. T questin whether the data cmpanies can help t imprve decisin-making.
B. T shw industries can benefit frm big data technlgy with its prper use.
C. T prve data can be fully depended n with advanced analytic tls.
D. T explain why peple can make full use f big data technlgy·

A. Big Data: A Game-changer
B. Big Data: A New Ppular Wrd
C. Big Data: A Cin with Tw Sides

D Bys and Girls Have Different Reading Habits?
The Prgramme fr Internatinal Student Assessment(PISA) is a wrldwide study f 15-year-ld schl pupils’ schlastic perfrmance(學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)) in maths, science, and reading. A clser lk at the reading tests, shws the interesting fact that girls are utperfrming(勝過) bys in reading and that this is cnnected with girls’ greater enjyment f reading.
One key area which has a main effect n reading perfrmance, is reading fr enjyment rather than simply fr study r schl wrk purpses. Interestingly, the PISA study fund that in all cuntries except Suth Krea assessed(評(píng)估) girls read fr enjyment mre than bys. The study fund that in all the cuntries assessed, just ver half f bys, but almst three-quarters f girls said that they read fr enjyment.
In cuntries such as Estnia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands, the difference between bys and girls was mst significant(顯著的).What’s mre, in places such as Austria, very lw levels f bys expressed interest in reading.
Hwever, in places like Japan, bys and girls read fr enjyment at almst the same level. And there were a few cuntries and places that scred very highly in bys reading enjyment, fr example in Albania, Indnesia, Shanghai in China and Thailand where at least 80% f bys enjy reading. Althugh these psitive numbers are matched and passed by girls wh reprted an even higher level f reading enjyment (90%).
An interesting area which the PISA study lked at was the types f literature that bth girls and bys generally enjy. Bys were fund t enjy reading magazines, newspapers, and cmic bks mre than girls. Girls were fund t be twice as likely t enjy wrks f fictin as bys. This was clearly repeated acrss all cuntries.
While reading in all frms is certainly beneficial and shuld be supprted, the lw numbers f bys reading fr enjyment and their limited chices when they d, is evidence f a prblem that needs t be slved. Cuntries need t think abut ways t inspire interest fr bys in reading and make sure that they are expsed(接觸) t a wide variety f different types f literature frm yung age.
The PISA study has helped shw a clear pattern in genders(性別) when it cmes t reading. Lw levels f interest in r enjyment f reading can have lng term effects n future success in life. Fr this reasn, it is imprtant that gvernments, teachers and parents all wrk t find pprtunities and strategies(策略) t raise reading levels. Frtunately, studies such as PISA prvide clear evidence that can be acted n t imprve utcmes fr all yung peple.

The way we spend ur time can be divided int three grups r jars (罐子). These wuld be the necessary tasks jar, the vluntary tasks jar and the happiness jar.
Every day, we spend time filling the necessary tasks jar. We fill this jar with useful things, like making mney, ding husewrk, buying fd and paying bills. We then fill anther jar with vluntary tasks.
