The Leaning Twer f PisaThe Twer f Pisa is ne f the mst beautiful bell twers in Italy. It is nt nly beautiful, but als strange — it leans t ne side. Tday it is knwn as “the Leaning Twer f Pisa”.The building f the twer began in 1173. It tk nearly 200 years t cmplete. In 1178, When the building gt t the third flr, it started t lean.
The builders tried t make the twer straight again when they built the upper flrs, but failed.Over the years, the twer has cntinued t lean further. Experts have dne a lt f studies and tried t “rescue” the twer. In 1990, it was clsed t the public fr safety reasns. After a lt f effrt, it repened in 2001. Hpefully it will be safe fr at least the next 300 years.
