讓學生能讀懂文章的大意及細節(jié)，并能捕捉到題中的相關的細節(jié)在文中的位置。幫學生梳理文中的重點語言點的用法，并引導他們去運用，并進行相關的拓展。
本節(jié)課是unit3 Under the sea 的第二篇小課文，設計的意圖主要是讓引導學生對本文中的大意及細節(jié)問題進行準確處理，除此之外，對文中的重點考點及其延伸做必要恰當的處理，做到拓展有度，拓展有據，也就是根據考綱進行補充，使這節(jié)課的英語教學不局限于課本，但又不超越大綱。 首先，用和creatures in the sea的 相關的圖片導入，引發(fā)并激起學生的興趣，從而自然的過度到Fast Reading 。 其次，讓學生listen t the text,然后填好表格，從而達到了聽讀結合的目的。總之，任務型閱讀法教學幫學生更深層次的理解了課文。本文的語言點教學部分，有 解釋，有拓展，講練結合，實現了重點語言點的突破。
