Greet the students in English and make sure they can respnse crrectly.

N. 1. Prepare lessns befre class.
Teach the new wrds and phrases. Make sure the Ss can read it crrectly.
N. 2. Text: Give them sme time t read the text themselves. Then let them act ut the dialgue in grups. Crrect their prnunciatin when necessary.
Read the lessn and answer the questins:
What’s the bad news abut Jane’s grandma?
What is Grandma’s dream?
What did Jane find n her blg?
What did Grandma say when Jane shwed her the picture?
At last, the teacher explains the text in Chinese. Make sure the Ss can understand the meaning f text.

N. 4. The Grammar: Adverbial Clause with “if”.
1.復(fù)習(xí)“when”時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句與“because”原因狀語(yǔ)從句,
(1)主句從句時(shí)態(tài)保持一致,主句一般將來(lái)時(shí),從句使用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。
(2)從句位于句首,從句主句之間分開(kāi)。
2. “if”引導(dǎo)的是條件狀語(yǔ)從句,意思是“如果,假如”。其用法如“because” “when”。
另外,引導(dǎo)的是條件狀語(yǔ)從句還有其他的連接詞—unless(除非)as lng as(只要)
E.g. If yu wrk hard, yu’ll _____ (get) there in the end.
If yu dn’t stp him, he will _____ (play) games the whle day.
If it _____ (rain) tmrrw, Danny will nt g t the supermarket t buy dnuts.
If yu _____ (g) t bed nw, I’ll read yu a bedtime stry.
