Did yu knw that vcabulary is mre imprtant than grammar? If yu have gd vcabulary, yu can cmmunicate successfully, even if the grammar is nt cmpletely perfect.
Hwever, ne cmmn prblem is learning new wrds and then frgetting them. S when yu want t use a new wrd in a cnversatin, yu can’t remember it at that mment. Des this ften happen t yu? The reasn fr this difficulty is that mst students try t learn vcabulary by studying lists and dictinaries and remembering the wrds. But it may nt wrk if yu dn’t have a very gd memry.
The best way t learn vcabulary and remember the wrds successfully is t learn new wrds and use them at nce. Yu can d this with a very simple exercise. Every time yu learn a new wrd, fr example, frm an English lessn r an article, write it dwn in yur vcabulary ntebk. Writing is mre active than just reading a definitin (釋義). Yu shuld write the wrd, the definitin in English r translatin, ne example sentence frm the article r dictinary and ne example sentence that yu create.
Imagine yu just learn the wrd “generus”, write in yur vcabulary ntebk: generus (adjective), definitin—giving r willing t give freely. Example ne, frm the article: Thanks fr paying fr my dinner, yu’re very generus. Example tw, my example: My brther is generus because he vlunteers at the animal shelter n weekends.
