Greet the students and intrduce the tpic: "Tday, we are ging t learn abut the famus peple alng the Silk Rad. D yu knw any famus peple? What did he d?"
Shw the vide f Marc Pl and ask students: “What d yu knw abut Marc Pl?” Let students share brief answers.
(Purpse: Activate prir knwledge and build interest.)
Step 2: Reading
Fast reading
Distribute the reading passage and pictures (the ne shwing Marc Pl's statue, the travel rutes, and gds exchanged alng the Silk Rad) and answer the questins in grups.
Careful reading
①: Ask students t read the passage silently (arund 5 minutes).
