Step 1 Warming up
a: Greet the class with a smile and intrduce myself, invites Ss t think the questin :
Our schl is ging t have a schl trip this mnth. D yu have any plans? Where can we g?
(discuss Ss in grup and shw their answer in class)
Step 2 Lead-in
b: Watch a vide abut the Silk Rad. After watching, teacher gives students a cntext. Suppse we are ging t the Silk Rad, what d we need t knw befre leaving. Teacher asks students what they knw abut the Silk Rad.
Step 3 Speaking
Pair wrk
First teacher leads students t knw abut the cities n the Silk Rad in China. Then tw students a grup, talk abut the travel plan.
Example:
A: What are yu planning?
B: I am planning a trip t …
A: Wh will lead the trip?
B:… will lead the trip.
A: May I g with…?
B: Yes, yu may g. /N, yu may nt. Because…
(Help Ss knw sme tips abut plans.)
Step 4 Listening
1. Pre-listening
Lk at the picture and answer the fllwing questins.
2.While-listening
Activity 1
Play a recrding: listen t the cnversatin and write True(T) r False(F).
Activity 2
Listen the cnversatin again and answer the fllwing questins.
3. Pst-listening

Make up a dialgue
After listening t the cnversatin, students learn many sentence structures abut travel plan. Teacher leads students t make a travel fr themselves and make up a dialgue.

Watch a vide abut “the Belt and Rad Initiative”, knw abut the present f the Silk Rad, encurage students t spread Chinese culture.

Imagine yu are Jenny's classmate and yu have als received a ntificatin abut a schl-rganized Silk Rad trip. Write a letter t yur pen pal intrducing this travel plan. Include details such as:
Wh is leading the trip.
When there will be a parent meeting t get mre infrmatin.
Other relevant infrmatin.
The letter shuld be n less than 50 wrds.
Practical Hmewrk
Research the histrical significance f the Silk Rad and its key lcatins. Create a handwritten pster in English that includes:
