They tk turns hlding her in their arms lvingly and ffered her a snack.
Thugh small, Rsy grew strng and healthy beneath her shiny black cat. And, just as I’d hped, she was a calming additin t ur huseful f nisy bys. But smething was wrng. “It’s like she desn’t knw hw t play,” Sam cmmented ne day after schl. “Dgs have different persnalities, just like peple,”I said. “Besides, she’s still very yung. ” “But her legs aren’t very lng, and ne eye is smaller than the ther,”Ike added, trying t make sense f why Rsy was different frm ther puppies he’d met.
I lked acrss the rm t where Rsy sat between the bys. The last glden rays f autumn sunshine shne brightly n her face. Sure enugh, ne eye was misshapen.
