Fu, ne f the time-hnred characters in Chinese culture, traditinally symblizes gd luck and prsperity. Nwadays, Fu als represents the shared hpe f ur natin. Fu has always been a necessity in Spring Festival celebratins. Emma clenched her fists as frustratin and embarrassment swirled inside her. She chased Dlly acrss the yard, but the stubbrn gat clattered tward the tl shed. Emma frze, catching her breath, hands n her knees.
Just at that mment, Grandma’s dresses and the straw hat hanging ver a chair caught her sight. An idea slwly dawned n her.“Maybe Dlly will listen t… Grandma.” murmuring t herself, Emma slipped int the dress, and placed the straw hat n her head. Mimicking Grandma’s steady walk and sthing vice, she called, “Cme n, Dlly. Time fr milking!” T Emma’s astnishment, Dlly began trtting tward her and std still as Emma carefully milked her, the creamy liquid splashing steadily int the bucket. A grin spread acrss Emma’s face. She had dne it.

M: Well, in my pinin, fds like vegetables and meat will be almst the same in the future as they are nw. But, unbelievable as it may sund, in the future we culd be eating insects—insects are rich in prtein, lw in fat and a gd surce f calcium, which can help t build up bnes and teeth.
W: Hw abut wrk in the future?
M: Well, it des seem that humans will n lnger be perating machines. Fr example, taxis will mst likely be replaced by self-driving cars. There will als prbably be a number f new kinds f jbs, such as cmputer engineers, wrkers repairing self-driving cars and space tur guides. I’m sure that as lng as yu study hard, yu needn’t wrry abut being fired!
W: What d yu think lve will be like in the future?
M: Well, I dn’t think I have enugh knwledge t talk n that tpic—and yu all are a bit yung t be wrrying abut that! Why dn’t we let smene else in the class ask a questin?
