在閱讀文本前,讓學(xué)生充分發(fā)揮想象力,激發(fā)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生對(duì)文本內(nèi)容進(jìn)行預(yù)測和思考,激活學(xué)生的背景知識(shí),為導(dǎo)入火星上的生活做好鋪墊。引導(dǎo)學(xué)生快速瀏覽課文,概括大意,把握文本的脈絡(luò),為理解火星上的生活做好鋪墊。由問題導(dǎo)出文本,并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生結(jié)合上下文去理解生詞和詞組的含義,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在閱讀中猜測詞義的能力。讓學(xué)生根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞復(fù)述未來火星上的生活,進(jìn)一步掌握課文的核心內(nèi)容。

large numbers f(大量的)=a large number f,修飾可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)形式;
a number f=numbers f 許多、大量, 用來修飾可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù),作主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
拓展:the number f … ……的數(shù)量,作主語時(shí)謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。

我們學(xué)校學(xué)生的數(shù)量是2 000。
3. With the develpment f technlgy, by the year 2100, the jurney might nly take abut 20 minutes in spacecraft that travel at the speed f light! 隨著技術(shù)的發(fā)展, 到2100年, 乘坐以光速飛行的宇宙飛船, 行程或許只要大約20分鐘!
(1)介詞with短語在句中常用作狀語,表示原因、條件、時(shí)間、伴隨、方式等。
I was secnd in the race with a time f 14.2 secnds.
我以14.2秒的成績?cè)诒荣愔形涣械诙?br>(2) by the year 2100 到2100年, 時(shí)間狀語,在句中作插入語, 也可放在句末。
①by+現(xiàn)在的時(shí)間, 用于現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)。
By nw, Mr Zhang has taught here fr 30 years.
到現(xiàn)在為止,張老師已經(jīng)在這兒任教三十年了。
②by+將來的時(shí)間, 用于一般將來時(shí)。
By next mnth, we’ll visit fur places f interest.
到下個(gè)月為止,我們將參觀四處名勝。
③by+過去的時(shí)間, 用于過去完成時(shí)。
By the end f last year, we had learned mre than 1,600 English wrds.
到去年末為止,我們已經(jīng)學(xué)了1 600多個(gè)英語單詞。
4. The gravity n Mars is nly abut three-eighths f that n the Earth.
火星上的重力大約只有地球上的八分之三。
(1)分?jǐn)?shù)表達(dá)法:
分子是基數(shù)詞,分母是序數(shù)詞,如果分子大于1,分母要用復(fù)數(shù)形式,在分子與分母之間可加連字符也可不加連字符。
“分?jǐn)?shù)+f+名詞”結(jié)構(gòu)作主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞的單復(fù)數(shù)視f后面的名詞而定,如果名詞是復(fù)數(shù),謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式;如果名詞是單數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞,謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。
Tw thirds f the land is cvered with water.三分之二的陸地被水覆蓋。
One fifth f the students cme frm the cuntryside.
五分之一的學(xué)生來自農(nóng)村。
(2)…abut three-eighths f that n the Earth
在作比較時(shí),我們常用that/thse指代句中類似或相同的那一部分。通常that用于指代可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞, thse用于指代可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)。此句中的that指代前面的gravity。
The air n Mars is much thinner than that n the Earth.
火星上的空氣要比地球上的稀薄得多。
5. Peple wuld have t wear bts that are specially designed t prevent themselves frm flating ff int space.人們將必須穿上特制的靴子來防止自己飄入太空。
(1) specially adv. 特別地,專門地,特地 在句中作狀語。
I made this cake specially with brwn sugar instead f white.
我特地用紅糖代替白糖做了這個(gè)蛋糕。
辨析: especially與specially
especially adv. 尤其,特別, 通常用來對(duì)前面所述的事件進(jìn)行進(jìn)一步的說明或補(bǔ)充。
He likes all subjects, especially English. 他喜歡所有的學(xué)科, 尤其是英語。
specially adv. 專門地,特地 ,強(qiáng)調(diào)唯一目的。
He came here specially t say srry t her. 他特意來這里向她道歉。
(2) prevent v. 阻止
prevent sb frm ding sth 阻止某人做某事
動(dòng)詞prevent也可以換成stp或者keep。
stp…(frm) ding=keep…frm ding
stp/prevent后的frm可以省略。
Yu must prevent the kids (frm) playing with fire.
=Yu must stp the kids (frm) playing with fire.
=Yu must keep the kids frm playing with fire.
你必須阻止孩子們玩火。
6. Cmpared with life n the Earth, life n Mars wuld be better in sme ways.與地球上的生活相比,火星上的生活在某些方面要好些。
(1) cmpared with life n the Earth 過去分詞短語作狀語, cmpare放在句首作狀語時(shí),表示被動(dòng)要用cmpared,表示主動(dòng)要用cmparing。
Cmpared with many peple, she is really lucky.
和許多人相比,她真的很幸運(yùn)。
Cmparing this bk with that ne, she fund this ne is better.
把這本書和那本書作比較,她發(fā)現(xiàn)這本書比較好。
cmpare常與介詞with或t搭配。
(2) 把……和……相比
She began cmparing herself with her classmates and fund she didn’t study s hard as any f the thers.她開始把自己和她的同學(xué)作比較,發(fā)現(xiàn)自己沒有其他同學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)刻苦。
(3) 把……比作……
Shakespeare cmpared the wrld t a stage.
莎士比亞把世界比作舞臺(tái)。
Peple ften cmpare girls t flwers.
人們常把姑娘比作花朵。
(4) in sme ways 在某些方面, 是副詞短語,在句中作狀語。
Our life is better than befre in sme ways.
我們的生活在某些方面比過去好多了。
拓展:way的常用短語歸納:
lse ne’s way迷路 make ne’s way t 到……地方去
in ne’s way擋了某人的路 (in) this way 用這種辦法
by the way順便說一下 n way 沒門兒, 不行
7. Every student wuld have a cmputer at hme cnnected t an interplanetary netwrk.每個(gè)學(xué)生家里都有一臺(tái)電腦與星際網(wǎng)絡(luò)相連接。
(1) cnnect v. 連接, 表示兩物相連接, 用“cnnect t /cnnect with”。
First cnnect the printer t the cmputer.首先把打印機(jī)與計(jì)算機(jī)連接起來。
This pipe cnnects with the sewer.這條管子連著下水道。
(2)本句中的cnnected t…是過去分詞作定語,相當(dāng)于一個(gè)定語從句which is cnnected t..., 即所限定名詞是從句謂語動(dòng)作的對(duì)象。
8. Life n Mars wuld be interesting as well as challenging.
火星上的生活,不僅有挑戰(zhàn)性,還很有趣。
as well as 既……又……,當(dāng)as well as與主語連用時(shí),在意義上強(qiáng)調(diào)前者,謂語動(dòng)詞應(yīng)與其前的主語保持一致。
Jack as well as his parents is ging t Lndn.
湯姆將要和他的父母一起去倫敦。
拓展:類似的單詞: with, withut, except, besides, including...
Everyne except Tm was reading in the classrm at that time.
除了湯姆,其他人那個(gè)時(shí)候都在教室里看書。
