【33題詳解】
根據(jù)前文“But befre yu d, here’s a bit f surprising science that pht-takers need t knw(但在此之前,攝影愛(ài)好者需要了解一些令人驚訝的科學(xué)知識(shí))”可知,空處應(yīng)是需要知道的知識(shí)的具體內(nèi)容,也就是本文的主題,根據(jù)后文可知,本文的主題是拍太多的照片實(shí)際上會(huì)損害大腦保持記憶的能力,所以D項(xiàng)“Taking phts is nt the perfect memry-keeping tl yu think it is(拍照并不是你想象中的完美記憶工具)”符合文意,為本段主題。故選D項(xiàng)。
【34題詳解】
根據(jù)前文“Taking t many pictures culd actually harm the brain’s ability t keep memries, says Elizabeth Lftus, a psychlgical science prfessr.(心理學(xué)教授伊麗莎白·洛夫特斯說(shuō),拍太多照片實(shí)際上會(huì)損害大腦保存記憶能力)”可知,A項(xiàng)“S yu get the pht, but kind f lse the memry(你得到了照片,但失去了記憶)”和前文構(gòu)成因果關(guān)系,是對(duì)前文的進(jìn)一步解釋。故選A項(xiàng)。
【35題詳解】
根據(jù)前文“That prcess f “fflading” ur memry is called the pht-taking damage effect.(這種“卸載”記憶的過(guò)程被稱(chēng)為“拍照損傷效應(yīng)”)”以及后文“Therefre, they dn’t pay full attentin t it in a way that might help them remember.(因此,他們不會(huì)以一種可能有助于記憶的方式完全關(guān)注它)”可知,此處是在解釋為什么拍照有損記憶,空處應(yīng)和后文構(gòu)成因果關(guān)系,所以C項(xiàng)“Peple knw their camera is catching that mment fr them(人們知道他們的相機(jī)正在為他們捕捉那一刻)”符合此處主題,是在解釋為什么拍照有損記憶,和后文構(gòu)成因果關(guān)系。故選C項(xiàng)。
【36題詳解】
根據(jù)后文“hw we hld ur phne, framing the pht t make sure peple are smiling and the backgrund is t ur liking, ensuring the image is clear — all f which uses up cgnitive (認(rèn)知的) skills r attentinal resurces that culd therwise help us keep that memry.(我們?nèi)绾文弥謾C(jī),如何給照片構(gòu)圖,以確保人們?cè)谖⑿Γ尘笆俏覀兿矚g的,確保圖像清晰——所有這些都會(huì)消耗認(rèn)知技能或注意力資源,否則這些資源可以幫助我們保持記憶)”可知,此處描述的是拍照過(guò)程中發(fā)生的事,所以E項(xiàng)“It’s what happens when we’re distracted by the prcess f taking a pht(當(dāng)我們?cè)谂恼盏倪^(guò)程中分心時(shí)就會(huì)發(fā)生這種情況)”能總領(lǐng)下文,符合文意。故選E項(xiàng)。
【37題詳解】
空處位于段首,是本段的中心句,根據(jù)后文“says Lftus, such as when a graduate accepts a diplma (畢業(yè)文憑) r when a child blws ut birthday candles. Thse are times when we have the added pressure f catching a quick mment and cncentrating n getting it right.(洛夫特斯說(shuō),比如畢業(yè)生接受畢業(yè)證書(shū)的時(shí)候,或者孩子吹滅生日蠟燭的時(shí)候。這些時(shí)候,我們有額外的壓力,要抓住一個(gè)快速的時(shí)刻,集中精力把它做好)”可知,此處講述在一些重要的時(shí)刻,容易分散注意力,所以F項(xiàng)“Attentinal disengagement is especially likely t ccur during milestne mments(注意力脫離尤其可能發(fā)生在里程碑時(shí)刻)”是本段的中心句。故選F項(xiàng)。

When I entered Berkeley, I hped t earn a schlarship. Having been a Straight-A student, I firmly believed that I culd take tugh subjects and really learn smething. One such curse was Wrld Literature given by Prfessr Jayne. I was extremely interested in the ideas he presented in class.
When I tk the first exam, I was shcked t find a 77, C-plus, n my test paper, fr English was my best subject and I had expected t scre much higher. Upset and disappinted, I went t Prfessr Jayne, wh listened t my arguments but remained unmved.
I decided t try harder, althugh I didn’t knw what that meant because schl had always been easy fr me. I read the bks mre carefully. But my effrts seemed in vain as I received anther 77. Again, I reasned with Prfessr Jayne. Again, he listened patiently but wuldn’t change his mind.
One mre test befre the final exam. One mre chance t imprve my grade. S I dubled my effrts, reviewing my ntes carefully and fr the first time, I truly understd the meaning f the wrd “thrugh.” But my effrt did n gd and everything went as befre.
The last hurdle (障礙) was the final. N matter what grade I gt, it wuldn’t cancel three C-pluses. I realized that I might as well give up n the idea f receiving a schlarship, as it was highly unlikely that I wuld achieve a high enugh grade.
As a result, I stpped wrking hard. I felt I knew the curse material as well as I ever wuld. In the days leading up t the final, I spent less and less time n study, and was even caught absent-minded in class. Withut punishment, Prfessr Jayne just shk his head and said, “Yu alne must set yur wn standard f excellence.”
