由文章第一段“Decisins in life are rarely black and white but usually invlve shades f gray. At dinner time, the decisin yu face is nt between fasting and eating like a pig, but whether t take that extra spnful f fd. When exams are arund the crner, yur decisin is nt between quitting them and studying 24 hurs a day, but whether t spend an extra hur reviewing yur ntes.(生活中的決定很少是非黑即白的,但通常都是灰色的。 可推斷出,fasting 在此處與eating like a pig意思相反。
根據(jù)第二段中“Margin means ‘edge’, s marginal changes are adjustments arund the edges f what yu are ding.(邊際意味著‘邊緣’,所以邊際變化是圍繞你正在做的事情的邊緣進(jìn)行的調(diào)整。)”以及下文的舉例“ Suppse, fr instance, that yu ask a friend fr advice abut hw many years t stay in schl.
根據(jù)文章第二段中“By cmparing these marginal benefits and marginal csts, yu can evaluate whether the extra year is wrthwhile.(通過比較這些邊際收益和邊際成本,你可以評(píng)估額外的一年是否值得。)”和最后一段“A ratinal decisin-maker takes actin if and nly if the marginal benefit f the actin exceeds the marginal cst.(當(dāng)且僅當(dāng)行動(dòng)的邊際收益超過邊際成本時(shí),理性決策者才會(huì)采取行動(dòng)。)”
再結(jié)合文章最后一段“Individuals and firms can make better decisins by thinking at the margin.(個(gè)人和公司可以通過邊際思維做出更好的決策)”,A項(xiàng)Marginal Thinking Leads t Better Decisins(邊際思維帶來更好的決策)符合文意。故選A項(xiàng)。
