Mrever, patience in the classrm can be the difference between building students' cnfidence in a language and breaking dwn their cnfidence entirely. Being patient as a teacher means empathizing with students. It is nt easy t learn a new language and allwing students t find their way will benefit them in the lng term.
Living my life in French is nt easy but the peple f Quebec are very patient. Quebecers repeat things several times and they are mre than happy t wait while I find the crrect wrds t express myself. It's a learning prcess, but with the patience f thers the prcess is less frightening.
When I first arrived in Matane, I kept getting headaches frm having t cncentrate all the time due t the language! I had t keep reminding myself that it wuld take time, and tw mnths later the headaches are a distant memry and my ears have becme mre used t the Quebecis accent(口音).
