I asked if they needed any mre help and the wman said n. I felt terrible fr the mm and her sn and really wished there were mre I culd d, but I knew that jumping in wuld nly add t the cnfusin, and with my very active little kid, it wuld be difficult t be f much practical help. Just when I was srry fr nt giving enugh help, the ambulance was amazingly already arriving, less than five minutes after the wman made the call.
I started t direct the ambulance t ward the injured by. I wished I had been able t help mre actively, but I was s impressed by the way everyne respnded, and the super-fast emergency respnders had the situatin cvered. I truly hped that by made a quick recvery and that all turned ut well fr him and his family. I gt the feeling we were ging t like living in this twn.

At very shrt ntice, she can be wken in the night and find herself riding a mtrbike with a vital delivery fr a hspital. But she’s nt an emplyee f any hspital. She’s just a vlunteer, ne f the 1,400 advanced qualified riders f the Assciatin f Bld Bikers. Last year, the Assciatin’s bikers respnded t arund 35,000 rapid transprt requests frm 262 UK hspitals. Besides bld, the bikers als deliver surgical tls and medicine.
Brwn first discvered bld biking when she was n a curse at the institute f advanced mtrists. Her trainer was a bld biker. Under his influence, Brwn started vlunteering as a rider. She later discvered that bld bikers nce helped her wn nephew, Peter. He received bld delivered by a rider n New Year’s Eve, 2015. Brwn says being a bld biker is a way f helping the cmmunity and being n the bike at the same time.
