    Rman (羅馬的) numbers are the number system with hundreds f years' histry. They were created by the Rmans with seven letters: I, V, X, L, C, D and M. Their meanings are as fllws.
    Hand signals (手勢(shì)) may tell us hw Rman numbers were invented. "I", a single line, is ne finger, and "V" means five fingers."X" is tw hands shwing tw fives with thumbs (拇指)crssed, like the shape"X".
    Rman numbers are read frm left t right.
    The rder f the letters is imprtant. There are tw main rules.
