【探究】such和s都可以用來(lái)表示程度,意思是“如此;這樣”,但用法卻不相同。
(1)such是限定詞,用來(lái)修飾名詞;s是副詞,用來(lái)修飾形容詞或副詞。
(2)可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)前有不定冠詞與形容詞時(shí),such和s的位置不同。前者為:such+a/an+形容詞+可數(shù)名詞單數(shù);后者為:s+形容詞+a/an+可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)。二者都表示“如此……的一個(gè)……”。如: It’s such an interesting stry. = It’s s interesting a stry.
(3)名詞前有表示“多少”意義的many、 much、 few、 little等修飾時(shí),要用s,不用such。如: He has s many questins t ask his teacher.
(4)后接可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式、不可數(shù)名詞或集合名詞時(shí),無(wú)論有無(wú)many、much、few、little之外的修飾詞都用such。如: They have made such great prgress.
