Scientists have mapped the largest cral reef(珊瑚礁)ff America’s Atlantic cast. Researchers say the reef spreads abut 500 kilmeters frm Flrida t Suth Carlina. At sme pints, it is 109 kilmeters wide. The researchers measured the reef using 3D mapping technlgy.
Ocean scientists have knwn since the 1960s that sme cral life was present ff the Atlantic Cast. But the reef’s exact size had remained unknwn. New underwater mapping technlgy made it pssible t create images f the cean flr in 3D.
