After the game, I knew my dream f playing prfessinal baseball was lst. I was crushed at the time abut the lss f my dream. I talked with my cach Bb Ohm abut my failure. He shared the way he became himself nw and cmfrted, “There can be many kinds f dreams in life. As lng as yu never give up, yu can have the chance t realize yur dream. The key pint is that yu need t maximize yur strengths and be wh yu really are.” Thinking f my cach’s wrds, I decided t cntinue t play and practise t achieve my next dream f being a baseball teacher in a schl.
Tday, I teach baseball in a high schl. The relatinships that I have enjyed with the students and athletes thrugh the years are things that n ne can put a price tag n. Althugh my early dream t play baseball fr the Tigers didn’t cme true, it created a new dream fr me t be a teacher. I am prud f what I am ding because I can help the yung g beynd their dreams with my mst psitive influence n them.
