In 2015, Prfessr Wang Zhenyi, wh specializes in treating acute prmyelcytic leukemia (APL)(急性早幼粒細(xì)胞白血病), received a letter f thanks frm America. The writer f the letter was Mrs. Berna-dette Giandmenic, wh nce suffered frm APL but was cured with all-trans-retinic acid (ATRA)(全反式維甲酸), a treatment develped by Wang and his medical team.

Brn in 1924 in Shanghai, Wang was inspired by a family friend's experience f pursuing a career in medicine as a child.
