考點1　practise的用法
1.practise作動詞,意為“練習(xí);實踐”,既可以作及物動詞,又可以作不及物動詞,其后可以接名詞、代詞或動名詞形式。常用結(jié)構(gòu)practise (doing) sth.,意為“練習(xí)(做)某事”。例如:
My little brother practises the piano every day.我弟弟每天練習(xí)彈鋼琴。
We often practise speaking English.我們經(jīng)常練習(xí)說英語。
2.practise的名詞形式是practice,意為“練習(xí);實踐”。例如:
Practice makes perfect.熟能生巧。
考點2　match的用法
1.match作動詞,意為“找到與……相配之物,使相配;使成對”。例如:
Match the words with the pictures.將單詞和圖片相匹配。
2.match作名詞,意為“比賽;火柴”,其復(fù)數(shù)形式為matches。例如:
Who won the football match?誰贏了那場足球賽?
Here is a box of matches for lighting the fire.這里有一盒火柴可用來點火。
考點3　mistake的用法

例如:
Jake was usually careful,but this time he made a small mistake.杰克通常很仔細(xì),但這次他犯了一個小錯誤。
The old man mistook Mike for John.這位老人把邁克錯當(dāng)成約翰了。
考點4　advice的用法
1.advice作名詞,意為“意見;建議;勸告;忠告”。
例如:
Let me give you some advice.讓我給你一些建議。
2.advice的常用搭配。
(1)give advice (on/about)意為“提(有關(guān)……的)建議”。例如:
Can you give me some advice on how to learn English well?你能給我一些關(guān)于如何學(xué)好英語的建議嗎?
(2)take/follow one’s advice意為“聽從某人的建議”。例如:
I’ll take/follow your advice,and do exercise every day.我會聽從你的建議,每天鍛煉身體。
3.advice的動詞形式為advise,意為“建議;忠告”,常用結(jié)構(gòu):advise sb.to do sth.“建議某人做某事”;advise doing sth.“建議做某事”。例如:
He advised me to read Chinese aloud every morning.他建議我每天早晨大聲讀語文。
My brother advised playing football after school.我弟弟建議放學(xué)后踢足球。
考點5　forget的用法
forget作動詞,意為“忘;忘記”。常見用法:forget to do sth.“忘記要做某事(事情還沒有做)”;forget doing sth.“忘記做過某事(事情已經(jīng)做過了)”。例如:
I’m sorry I forgot to return the library book.對不起,我忘記歸還圖書館的書了。
He forgot going to Shanghai with his parents when he was five years old.他忘記他五歲時曾跟父母去過上海。

考點6　agree的用法

例如:
I quite agree with what you said.我非常同意你說的話。
We agreed about that.關(guān)于那件事,我們意見一致。
We agreed to leave.我們同意離開。
We agreed that the idea was a good one.我們一致認(rèn)為這個主意不錯。
考點7　ask for的用法
1.ask for 后接賓語,意為“請求(某事);要(某物)”,相當(dāng)于want sth.。例如:
Please ask for help if you have any problems.如果你有任何問題,請詢求幫助。
2.ask的其他常用結(jié)構(gòu):
(1)ask sb.about sth.意為“詢問某人有關(guān)某事;向某人打聽某事”。例如:
My father often calls me up and asks me about my study.爸爸經(jīng)常給我打電話,詢問我的學(xué)習(xí)情況。
(2)ask sb.sth.意為“詢問某人某事”。例如:
Can I ask you some questions?我能問你一些問題嗎?
(3)ask sb.to do sth.意為“要求某人做某事”,其否定形式為ask sb.not to do sth.,意為“要求某人不要做某事”。例如:
I often ask him to help me with my housework.我經(jīng)常要求他幫我做家務(wù)。
My mother asked me not to read in the sun.媽媽讓我不要在陽光下看書。
(4)ask sb.for sth.意為“向某人要某物”。例如:
If you can’t find the way to the school,please ask a policeman for help.如果你找不到去學(xué)校的路,請向警察求助。
考點8　suggest的用法
1.suggest作動詞,意為“建議;提議”。其名詞形式是suggestion,為可數(shù)名詞。suggest后可接賓語從句,從句的謂語要用虛擬語氣,即“should+動詞原形”,should可以省略。例如:
She suggested that the class meeting (should) not be held on Saturday.她建議班會不要在星期六舉行。
We suggested that he (should) go and make an apology to his teacher.我們建議他去向老師道歉。
2.suggest的其他常見用法:
(1)可接名詞作賓語。例如:
We suggested a visit to the museum the next day.我們建議明天去參觀博物館。
(2)可接動名詞作賓語。例如:
I suggested putting off the sports meeting.我建議將運動會延期。
They suggested waiting until the proper time.他們建議(我們)等到恰當(dāng)?shù)臅r機(jī)才行動。
(3)suggest 也有“提出”的意思。例如:
He suggested a different plan to his boss.他向老板提出了一個不同的計劃。
3.辨析advice與suggestion:

為不可數(shù)名詞,一般指帶有指點或指導(dǎo)性的“意見;勸告;忠告”。
suggestion
為可數(shù)名詞,指針對某件事、某個問題,尤其是為解決困難而提出的“建議”。
