This isn’t the first time that Megi has faced a big disaster (災(zāi)難). In November 2019, the earthquake in Albania left behind a lot of fear for teenagers like Megi. Online art classes have opened up a convenient space for people to get a start in the world of art. Tang Yingshan, a professor from The Open University of China in Beijing, started an online fine art education program. He believes that everyone can create a masterpiece painting.
Shan Lin, a woman from Guilin, has been learning fine art online for 17 months. She watches guide videos during lunch breaks and practices during her off-work hours. “There is a flexible(靈活的)learning timetable and the guide videos can be played repeatedly for us to have a better understanding,” Shan said. “The courses here don’t cost much and teachers from art schools are invited to give classes.”
Bai Li, who had worked for more than 20 years, became a student of Tang’s class. She used to think it difficult to learn oil painting. After learning basic drawing for one year, Bai planned to attend an advanced class. “Happiness is my biggest gain from learning oil painting,” said Bai, adding that painting gives her a chance to forget about her age and feel full of energy once again.
By January 2022, more than 36,000 people from all walks of life had taken the online fine art education program. Although they have different jobs, they all find a way to express themselves in the world of art. Students at the beginner level are introduced into the world of art by copying world-famous paintings so that they can understand more about the artists’ styles and skills. “I think everybody is a talented painter. What we do is to help them learn to express themselves like painters do,” said Xiao Fei, an art teacher of the program.

Imagine that in a future classroom a girl sits down for a test. Her exam paper is made by an artificial intelligence (AI)(人工智能)model based on her own learning. When she finishes her paper, she hands her paper to her teacher, who uses another AI model to grade the paper. Based on the result, a new learning plan is made for the student according to her strengths and weaknesses. This is personalized(個(gè)性化的)education at its best.
Could this be the future of AI in education? It is certainly possible. With the development of high technology, the dream about the AI classroom will come true even faster than we expected. However, it also puts a question: How can AI help students improve their schoolwork?
AI can use historical information to create personalized learning plans according to students’ performances. The plans allow students to learn at their own speed and in their own way.
AI can easily catch expressions on students’ faces. When students get into trouble, AI models can make a mark. Even before they start to show signs of trouble, AI models can make correct predictions. At the same time, AI models can provide methods of solving problems and improving learning plans quickly.
What’s more, AI can create the special program for those who have difficulty in learning. One example of a company developing AI to improve the learning experience is Nuance. It created Dragon Speech Recognition technology. With the support of voice recognition(識(shí)別), AI allows students to complete tasks only by speaking. This offers a chance to those who have difficulty in writing.
The role of AI in education will become more and more important. In the near future, we will see an AI classroom. It can not only create personalized learning plans but also use technology to predict results. Education will be personalized to a student’s advantage, bringing a more enjoyable learning experience for all students.
( ) 62. The purpose of Paragraph 1 is to ________.
A. increase students’ worry about tests B. explain why learning plans are necessary
C. introduce personalized education to readers D. show students how meaningful the AI model is
( ) 63. From Paragraph 4, we can learn AI models can ________.
A. make good use of learning plans B. describe different kinds of expressions

( ) 64. The example of Nuance is used mainly to show ________.
A. AI can improve students’ writing skills B. AI can offer the service to special students
C. students can easily complete tasks with AI D. voice recognition makes a difference to education
( ) 65. What is the best title for the passage?
