If the sentence des nt define the wrd, first , try t determine the wrd’s part f speech. Then lk at the way ther wrds are used in the sentence, as this might give a clue t the meaning f the new wrd.
e.g. I sat n the green grass watching the white cluds sailing acrss the azure sky.
In the sentence abve, azure is the clur f the sky---blue.
I d nt like pp music. I prefer blues instead.

Language pints:
1. The fruit was n lnger fresh.
n lnger意為 “不再”,相當(dāng)于nt---any lnger,多與表示狀態(tài)或延續(xù)性的動(dòng)詞連用。
He n lnger smkes.=He desn’t smke any lnger. 他不再吸煙了。
n mre意為 “不再”,表示動(dòng)作不再重復(fù)出現(xiàn),相當(dāng)于nt---any mre,可以和表示短暫動(dòng)作的動(dòng)詞連用。
Time lst will n mre return.=Time lst wn’t return any mre.失去的時(shí)間不會(huì)再回來。
