left 這個(gè)詞有三種詞性, 既可做形容詞、副詞, 還可做名詞。1) 作形容詞時(shí), 用來(lái)修飾名詞，意思是“左邊的， 在左邊的”。例如： The pay phne is n the left side f the supermarket. 公用電話(huà)在超級(jí)市場(chǎng)的左邊。2) 作副詞時(shí), 用來(lái)修飾動(dòng)詞, 意思是“向左”。例如： G dwn t the end f the rad and then turn left. 沿著這條路走到底再向左轉(zhuǎn)。3) 作名詞時(shí), 意思是“左側(cè), 左方”。例如： Cme and sit n my left. 來(lái), 坐在我的左邊。
鏈接: right 是left的反義詞, 其用法和left 一樣。n the left / right (side ) , n ne’s left / right 這些詞組常用在問(wèn)路和指路的句型中。例如：— Excuse me. Is there a bank in the neighbrhd ?—Yes, there is. It’s dwn Bridge Street n the right.The restaurant is ___ the left. A. in B. at C. n
解析: n the left / right 是固定詞組。
Excuse me. 對(duì)不起，打擾了。 常用來(lái)表示打擾他人、不同意、迫不得已而失禮 時(shí)的道歉。例如： Excuse me, may I brrw a pen, please ? 對(duì)不起, 我可以借支鋼筆嗎？ Excuse me, which is the way t the bus stp ? 對(duì)不起, 請(qǐng)問(wèn)汽車(chē)站怎么走？鏈接: “I’m srry.” 也是“對(duì)不起”的意思, 但它常用于做錯(cuò)了事之后或不能滿(mǎn)足對(duì)方的要求時(shí), 表示歉意。如：May I cme in, please ? I’m srry I’m late.請(qǐng)問(wèn)我可以進(jìn)來(lái)嗎？對(duì)不起，我遲到了。
在英語(yǔ)中,“問(wèn)路”的說(shuō)法有很多種,例如：Excuse me. Where is the pay phne? Excuse me. Hw can I get t the library? Excuse me. Can yu tell me hw t get t the library?
Excuse me. Can yu tell me the way t the library?Is there a library near here/arund here/in the neighbrhd?
Yu’re welcme. 不客氣, 不用謝。 這是當(dāng)對(duì)方道謝時(shí)的回答語(yǔ)。 Yu’re 是Yu are 的縮略形式。例如： --Thank yu very much. --Yu are welcme.鏈接: 回答thank yu的用語(yǔ)還有： That’s all right. 不用謝。 That’s OK. 不用謝。 Nt at all. 沒(méi)關(guān)系, 不用謝。
