The day f Marisl's party, Jbie put n her favrite utfit: her blue shrts, an ld track T-shirt frm her dad, and her lucky spikes. “Perfect.” She smiled at herself in the mirrr.
The party was under way when Jbie arrived at Hidden Park. She stpped by the track first, planning t d sme practice.
“Jbie!” Tw f Jbie's teammates rushed tward her, breathless and bareft. “Cme n,” they yelled. “Yu have t try the slide.”
Jbie lked tward the party area. Suddenly, she saw it. The biggest slide she had ever seen was n the far side f the park. Smiling kids zmed dwn the slide at unspeakable speeds. Withut thinking twice, Jbie tk ff her spikes and dashed(猛沖) tward the slide. Its ladder stretched t the sky, but she reached the tp in n time, clsed her eyes and let g.
Jbie culdn't get enugh. She tried again and again. When it was finally time t g hme, she unwillingly made her way back t the track where she'd left her shes.
