s?that?: 為了;以便;目的狀語從句的連接詞,從句中通常含情態(tài)動詞can/culd,?may/might,?will/wuld等。

注意:s that目的狀語從句與s as t、in rder t、t不定式的轉(zhuǎn)換。

Althugh he is very ld, he is quite strng.  I dn’t really enjy sprts, althugh I did watch the game.我不太喜歡體育運(yùn)動,但是我的確看過這場比賽。
althugh的基本意思是“盡管,雖然”或“然而,但是”,常用于引導(dǎo)陳述語氣的讓步狀語從句,且引導(dǎo)的句子常指事實(shí),而不指設(shè)想。

althugh可置于句首(此時多用逗號與主句分開),也可置于句子后半部分(此時用不用逗號均可),也可用于句中表強(qiáng)調(diào)。

注意:althugh引導(dǎo)的從句不能與but, hwever連用,但可與yet, still連用。保留but而去althugh也可。
