●1 lie n. 謊言
Linda is an hnest girl, and she never tells lies. 琳達(dá)是一個(gè)誠實(shí)的女孩子,她從來不說謊。[拓展] lie 用作動(dòng)詞,意為“躺下;位于;在于;平放;存在;延伸;說謊”。Dn't believe Jack easily because he ften lies. 不要輕易相信杰克,因?yàn)樗?jīng)常說謊。If yu dn't feel well, g and lie dwn. 如果你感到不舒服,就去躺下。

●2 chse vt.&vi. 選擇,挑選Sldiers can chse amng several dishes.士兵們可以在多種飯菜中挑選。Chse large clurful leaves frm yur yard r trees. 從你的院子里或者樹上挑選大的彩色的葉子。[拓展] chse 為動(dòng)詞,其過去式和過去分詞分別為chse和chsen; 其名詞形式為chice。We chse t g by train. 我們選擇乘火車去。Wh was chsen t be yur new chairpersn? 誰當(dāng)選為你們的新主席了?It's time fr yu t make a chice. 到你作出選擇的時(shí)候了。
●3 discuss vt. 討論,議論[點(diǎn)撥] discuss 為動(dòng)詞,后可接名詞、動(dòng)名詞或“疑問詞+不定式”結(jié)構(gòu)作賓語。常用搭配:discuss sth with sb 與某人討論某事He refused t discuss the matter. 他拒絕討論這件事。We're here t discuss Ann's jining the club. 我們在這兒碰頭是為了探討安參加俱樂部的事。We discussed what t d. 我們討論了該做些什么。
[拓展] discuss的名詞形式為discussin,意為“討論,議論”。After much discussin, they decided t sell it. 經(jīng)過多次討論之后,他們決定把它賣了。[搭配] discuss in grups分組討論discuss with與……商討,與……洽談discuss freely自由地討論under discussin 正在討論中
●4 finish vi.&vt. 完成;結(jié)束[點(diǎn)撥] finish 為動(dòng)詞,其后接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞作賓語。When did he finish the wrk? 他是什么時(shí)候完成那項(xiàng)工作的? Yu must hurry up, r yu can't finish it in time. 你必須快一點(diǎn),否則你不能及時(shí)完成它。I haven't finished reading the bk yet. 我還沒看完這本書呢。
● almst 和nearly (1)兩者都可用來修飾不定代詞、形容詞、副詞、動(dòng)詞、介詞短語等,此時(shí)兩者可換用。It's almst/nearly impssible. 那幾乎是不可能的。(2)almst 可用于 any 以及 n, nne, nbdy, nthing, never 等否定詞之前,但nearly一般不能。Almst any man can d it. 幾乎任何人都會做這件事。
Almst n ne came t the party. 幾乎沒有人來參加聚會。(3)nearly 前可用 very, pretty, nt 等詞修飾,nt nearly 意為“遠(yuǎn)非”;almst 之前不能用這些詞修飾。It's nt nearly s difficult as yu think. 這遠(yuǎn)不像你想的那么難。
●1 Can I have sme mre fd?我還能再來點(diǎn)食物嗎?[點(diǎn)撥] sme mre fd 意為“另外一些食物”。在“數(shù)詞+mre+名詞”結(jié)構(gòu)中, mre意為“再, 又”。I'm still hungry. Can I have sme mre bread?我還是餓,我可以再來些面包嗎?[拓展] 數(shù)詞+mre+名詞=anther+數(shù)詞+名詞tw mre hurs=anther tw hurs另外兩小時(shí)
●2 What's schl like? 上學(xué)是什么樣的?[點(diǎn)撥] “What's…like?” 常用于詢問對方對某人或某事物的評價(jià)或感想,或要求對方描述某人的性格或品質(zhì)。它相當(dāng)于“What d yu think f…?”或“Hw d yu like…?”What's yur new jb like? 你的新工作怎么樣?[辨析] “What des sb lk like?”和“What's sb like?” (1)“What des sb lk like?” 用于詢問人的長相、外貌特征,意為“某人長什么樣?”。
—What des Alice lk like? —She's tall, and she has black hair. “愛麗絲長什么樣?” “她個(gè)子很高,長著一頭黑發(fā)?!?2)“What's sb like?” 主要用于詢問人的性格、品質(zhì)等,意為“某人是個(gè)什么樣的人?”。 —What's Linda like? —She's quiet and a little shy.“琳達(dá)是個(gè)什么樣的人呢?” “她文靜,有點(diǎn)害羞?!?br/>●3 Chinese students have mre weeks ff fr the summer hliday than British students.中國學(xué)生的暑假要比英國學(xué)生的暑假多幾周。[點(diǎn)撥] ff 為副詞,意為“休息;休假;不工作”?!癶ave/take+一段時(shí)間+ff” 意為“請……天的假;休假一段時(shí)間”。I will have tw days ff next week.下周我要休兩天假。
