1. Listen t the tape and learn abut the cntents f lessn thirty-ne.
Try t finish the exercise 1 frm “Let’s D it”.
2. Get the students t read the text and finish the exercise 2 frm “Let’s D It”

Phrases:
wake up 睡醒，叫醒
cme ut 出來(lái)，發(fā)芽
becme warm 變暖

Sentences：
1) I wke up this mrning and I was surprised! 我今天早晨醒來(lái)，我特別奇怪！
wake up 叫醒，醒來(lái)
例句：Wake up children and dress them. 喚醒孩子給他們穿上衣服。
surprise可做名詞
基本用法如下：
① 表示“驚訝”時(shí)，是不可數(shù)名詞。常用短語(yǔ)：in surprise 驚訝地；t ne's surprise 讓某人驚訝的是
例句：T my surprise, he was a thief.
② 表示“令人驚訝的事務(wù)/意外之事”時(shí)，是可數(shù)名詞
surprise還可以做及物動(dòng)詞，意思是“使...驚訝”。
常用短語(yǔ)：surprise sb
例句：His wrds surprised me a lt. 他的話(huà)使我大吃一驚。
派生詞：① surprised 形容詞，意思是“感到驚訝的”。常用結(jié)構(gòu)：be surprised at sth 對(duì)某事感到驚訝
be surprised t d sth 做某事而感到驚訝
be surprised + that從句因...而驚訝
② surprising 形容詞，意思是“令人感到驚訝的”。
例句：He is very surprised t see Jay n the street.
The news is very surprising

mean v. 打算，意味
例句：I mean t call n yu tmrrw. 我打算明天看望你。
Becming a millinaire didn't mean an end t his mney wrries. 成為百萬(wàn)富翁并不意味著他不再被錢(qián)困擾。
mean t d sth 打算做某事 mean ding sth 意味著……
例：I didn’t mean t d that. 我不是故意要做那件事的。
Lsing a bus in Lndn means waiting fr anther hur. 在倫敦錯(cuò)過(guò)一般車(chē)意味著再等一個(gè)小時(shí)。
Grammar： What引導(dǎo)的感嘆句講解
由what引導(dǎo)的感嘆句
what修飾名詞或名詞短語(yǔ)，有以下兩種形式：
What+a(an)+（形容詞）+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+主語(yǔ)+謂語(yǔ)！
例句：What an apple this is!
What a fine day it is!
What+(形容詞）+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞+主語(yǔ)+謂語(yǔ)！
例句：What kind wmen they are!
What nice music it is!
