What did Isaac Newtn d?
Isaac Newtn was brn in England in 1642 where he grew up n a farm. When he was a by, he was very quiet. He was always thinking abut things. He made lts f brilliant inventins, like a windmill t grind crn, a water clck and a sundial. Hwever, Newtn did nt have brilliant marks at primary schl.
When he was 18, Newtn studied at Cambridge University. He was very interested in physics, mathematics and astrnmy. But in 1665, the Great Plague, a terrible disease, spread acrss England and Cambridge University had t clse dwn. Newtn returned hme t the farm. Newtn cntinued studying and experimenting at hme.
One day, he was reading a bk under an apple tree. He saw an apple fall frm the tree. “ Why d apples fall dwn instead f up?” he asked. Frm this, he discvered the thery f gravity (萬有引力定律). Gravity explains why an bject falls.
Newtn passed away in 1727. He was a great physicist. His ideas changed the way ther scientists thught. Many f Newtn’s ideas are still true tday. His thughts were s riginal and s imprtant. He was vted Man f the Millennium, the mst imprtant persn in the past 1,000 years!
