Flights often mean risky security, long layovers and unexpected delays, which can sometimes make for unpleasant travel experiences. Still, your airport journey doesn't always have to be terrible. Here are some cool airports that will make you forget about all your baggage of travel.
??? Hamad International Airport, Qatar
??? This $ 16-billion airport is famous for its luxury. It features a 25-meter-long swimming pool. The airport is also equipped with quiet rooms, ideal for passengers seeking a pre-flight snooze. There is a giant dinosaur robot and a 23-foot-tall sculpture of a yellow teddy bear created by Urs Fischer.
??? Changi Airport, Singapore
??? If you don't get enough shopping done during your trip, then Changi Airport will be the perfect place for you. There are over 300 retail stores available and two movie theaters—free of charge—for you to take advantage of. There's also a fascinating butterfly garden. Here, you can find a rainforest-themed garden with about 1,000 butterflies surrounded by flowering plants and a six-meter grotto waterfall.
??? Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong, China
??? Have you ever wondered what it's like to fly a plane? If you have, then head for the Aviation Discovery Center and hop the plane cabin simulator. This ride allows passengers to see what it's like to actually fly a plane. It will be pretty cool if you're about to board a real flight in a couple of hours. This airport is also home to an IMAX theater and an indoor, multimedia golf course.
??? Helsinki Airport, Finland
??? If you have an appreciation of art, then you'll love your layover in Helsinki. It's the MoMA (Museum of Modem Art) of airports, complete with a 24-hour art gallery and an aviation museum. There are paintings and art installations all over the building. Passengers can also relax between flights in a sleeping pod, an ergonomic seat complete with a pull-up cover to keep out light and noise, storage for your carry-on under the seat, and a power outlet for your phone or laptop.
21. At Changi Airport, Singapore, passengers have a chance to _____.
A. watch a movie with butterflies around them
B. make purchases free of charge in the retail stores
C. take photos with a yellow teddy bear
D. enjoy the beauty of a waterfall
22. If you would like to fly a plane, which of the following airports do you like most?

D.Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong, China.
23. According to the passage, what's the similarity between Hamad International Airport and Helsinki Airport?

Life doesn't always turn out to be the way we'd like. When situations take an unfavorable turn, we become upset, frustrated, or angry. When others don't agree with us, or act in a manner we find disturbing, anger is a typical response. With the exception of a few extreme circumstances, an angry reaction rarely improves the situation or helps us change our mind. Thoughtful consideration of what feelings and reaction are most helpful actually restores our real power, so consider the following alternatives to anger.
Compassion(同情), consisting of both understanding and empathy, can be a perfect solution to anger. Each person has the right to live a life according to their beliefs, dreams, needs, etc. If someone is acting improperly or not living up to our ideals, we need to remove the "shoulds" and remind ourselves that it is a necessary part of their life's journey. Choosing this alternative response softens one's heart and prevents anger from arising.
Humor is another powerful tool for lessening anger. We take life and personal offense far too seriously. After all, others' behavior is a reflection of their internal spirits and has nothing at all to do with us and in reality, it is relatively unimportant. Humor puts any serious situation in place. It acts as a protective barrier to emotional pain as we recognize that what is happening has nothing at all to do with us.
So when others behave badly, forgive them for their bad behavior rather than judge them in your heart. When life hands us the exact opposite of what we request, make light of it. After all, this situation is only temporary so why get so bent out of shape when it isn't in line with your ideals? Rain on your wedding day? Break out of the umbrellas and boots and dance in the puddles(小水坑)!
24. What can we infer from the first paragraph?
A. Anger makes a person more powerful.
B. All the people get annoyed easily.
C. Anger can do something good in most cases.
D. Anger often does no good to the situation.
25. How should we respond to others' misbehavior according to the second paragraph?
A. Understand and accept it. B. Complain about it.
C. Leave it as it is. D. Criticize it sharply.
26. What does the underlined phrase mean in the last paragraph?
A. Dull. B. Delighted. C. Angry. D. Gifted.
27. What's the best title for the passage?
A. The Bad Effects of Anger B. Alternative Responses to Anger
C. The Causes of Frequent Anger D. The Risk of Getting Angry
C
It is?a question that has long puzzled scientists—why are tigers orange? One might think it makes them more obvious—particularly against a leafy green forest background. William Blake summed it up in his famous poem known by generations of schoolchildren: "Tiger, tiger, burning bright/ In the forest of the night." But now the answer is at hand.
While obvious to us, computer simulations(模擬) of what the big cats look like to the main animals they hunt for, deer, show a different picture. Humans with normal color vision, can see red, blue and green colors. But deer can only pick up blue and green light. They are effectively color-blind to the color red, like some humans. It means the tigers' orange coloration looks green to them, allowing them to mix perfectly into the background, new research claims.
??? Dr. John Fennell at the University of Bristol and his colleagues said that they used computers to estimate how noticeable a given animal was. They did this by using images of the environment in which the animal lives, and then creating images to see whether the camouflage helps the animal to mix in.
??? Dr. Fennell writes that by simulating what the world looks like to animals who are "two-color vision"—someone who cannot discover the difference between red and green—"we also identify the most suitable colors for hiding and visibility".
??? Dr. Fennell writes in the Journal of the Royal Society Interface: "Considering the coat of a tiger, it has fur that appears, orange to a three-color vision observer rather than some shade of green, though the latter should be a more appropriate color for an attack hunter in forests. However, when viewed by a two-color vision observer, the tiger's color is very effective."
??? The question then arises as to why tigers don't grow green coats. Dr. Fennell and his colleagues write that mammals are not able to produce green fur. To do so would "require a significant change of mammalian biochemistry". There is only one mammal known to have green fur but this is achieved through what might be considered as, well, cheating, not exactly real.

28. Why does the author mention the poem in Paragraph 1?
A. To stress the noticeable color of the tiger to us. B. To show the author's respect to the poet.
C. To answer the question of the color of the tiger. D. To arouse reader's interest in poems.
29. What color is inexistent in the eyes of deer?
A. Black. B. Blue. C. Red. D. Green.
30. What does the underlined word "camouflage" mean according to the text?
A. The cover of something. B. The way of hiding something.
C. The way of hunting for something. D. The images of something.
31. What can be inferred from the last paragraph?
A. The color of tigers sometimes cheats people.
B. Getting green may prevent tigers from being extinct.
C. The tigers' fur will probably evolve into green in the future.
D. There are no mammals with real green fur in the world.
D
Tests,after-school activities and problems at home can increase stress for students. But research now suggests that the main reason for the students' rising anxiety levels is something else.
A psychology professor Jean Twenge said “What a lot of teens told me is that using social media and their phones seems forced. This use of phones has led to a loss of sleep and face-to-face interactions. ” Last year, in the journal Pediatrics three researchers wrote that too much social media use might contribute to the development of mental health problems in teenagers, such as loneliness, depressive symptoms and anxiety.
Researchers are still not sure whether phones cause student depression or depression causes phone use. Yet 70 percent of teens see anxiety and depression as major problems among their peers, according to a February Pew Research Center report.
Schools are starting to take steps to deal with the problem. Many public schools pay outside companies to watch students‘ social media activity for signs of pain. Some schools have organized some events in which people do not use their electronic devices. Belfast Area High School in Maine had one such event in April. About 20 percent of students and school employees took part, demonstrating the influence that the technology has on their daily life.
Emily Mogavero, a 17-year-old student in New York, said “I definitely feel stressed to keep up my information and stuff. It kind of worries me that I’m on my smart phone so long. ’’ Mogavero said she sometimes puts her phone out of reach or powers it down so she doesn’t hear anything.
Some parents are not letting their children get smart phones until they grow up. A teacher, Erin Schifferli, says her 12-year-old daughter, Aeva, won’t get a phone until she is 16 years old. Deirdre Birmingham of Montclair signed on a campaign called “Wait Until Eighteen” because she didn’t think her video game-loving 10-year-old son was ready for a smart phone.
32.What’s the main cause of teenagers’ mental problems according to the text?
A.?Being lacking in enough sleep. B. Being addicted to social media.
C.Too much homework. D.Too many activities.
33.What does Mogavero think of using smart phones too much?
A.It is necessary. B. It is reasonable. C. It is worrying. D.It is meaningless.
34.How can parents deal with the children’s problem?
A.Help their children grow up quickly. B. Pay more attention to children's study.
C. Stop their children using smart phones. D.Sign on more campaigns to make a difference.
35.What can we learn from the text?
A. 70 percent of people have anxiety and depression.
B. Over-using phones influences teens' social interactions.
C.Almost all the students liked the schools' activities.
D.The findings of the research are very definite.
第二節(jié)(共5小題;每小題2.5分,滿分12.5分)
閱讀下面短文,從短文后的選項中選出可以填入空白處的最佳選項。選項中有兩項為多余選項。
??? Where is your focus (集中點) as you work towards your goals?
??? If you are moving towards something you are focused on, then it grows bigger in your sight. It pushes out the things around it that will stop you from achieving your goal. However, if you are not moving towards a goal, but running away from something, then where you really want to be can get lost in the surroundings (周圍的事物). 36
??? A personal example is when I was working as a programmer. I had a manager that had little technical skill, and bad management skills. 37 In fact, I did apply for another position. After my first interview I realized that I was running away from a position but not having a specific(明確的) goal. If I had continued, I would have ended up in another job that I didn't really want.
??? 38 In doing so, I now have a specific goal that I am working towards. When I achieve that goal, I will be exactly where I want to be.
When you want to change, first ask yourself if you are moving towards a specific goal. 39
Forward progress is good. Progress from a bad place is a good start. But progress in this manner will not lead you to where you really want to be. 40 Only then will your effort and energy take you to your desired place.
???
A. Or ask if you are running away from something.
B. So I wanted to get out of that position quickly.
C. And where you want to be will seem small and unimportant.
D. You must focus on that goal, not on what you don't want.
E. In order to do that, you must have a very specific goal to focus on.
F. Instead, I decided to stay a little longer and see what I really wanted.
G. I had to give it up at last.

Nowadays, an increasing number of people choose to order takeout food on the Internet.
To be honest, takeout food has its advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it provides us with great convenience. We can get whatever we want to eat without leaving our home. However, on the other hand takeout food results in serious environmental problems.
From where I stand, we should say no to takeout food. For one thing, it does great harm to the environment. For another, the hygiene and quality of takeout food cannot be ensured.
